  1. Thanks rcon021, They are Altolamprologus compressiceps gold head (from Eddie in waitakere), and they are brothers (I mean same parents)... I have them for 2 years now... and they haven't spawned yet, but recently one of them ("the one that I think that is female", second picture) has been really curious about the new Seashell that I bought for them... :spop: Cheers

  4. the sp 44 thick skin has wide gamma of redish, and I think that the brownae as a good victorian must have the chance to develop this type of red too depending of the food... for example this was my old male of sp 44, he doesn't have so many red in the back, but all his babies were a lot more red than him. Pretty nice fish btw sethG and firenzenz, I think that both are brownae

  12. hey congrats, as Smidey says in the Tropheus is not strange that the females eats while they are holding (I have seen it in a Tropheus dubosis). good luck

  14. I am giving them spirulina flakes, microworm, blood worm (frozen), blood worm of nutrafin, and tetra color bits, they are growing fine, but slow comparing to the other fish and which one did u get finally smidey? the same fry than mine?
  15. Thanks guys Im glad that u like my fish, and yes Ymir the altos are Compressiceps gold head as Ryan said. The altos are quite small yet Smidey, they have grown, but really slow... the male is of 3,5 cm , and the other 2 (the possible females) are of 2,5 cm.

  18. really nice jewels!! I have seen a few of them in hollywood fish farm in north shore yesterday at $9 each (as red as yours)... I was almost to buy them... but I have only juveniles fish... then I quit to buy them
