  5. Let's see what is under this... I'm your alter ego, Marry me, you'll get a lot of energy. Nevertheless , we can't be a nice couple, 'Cause I'm just your opposite for eternity. Even in white outfit, you can't identify me so easily. Who am I ? Antimatter is my name. Matter + antimatter = energy White outfits of scientists. Related to the News because last week, I read an article about evidence that thunderstorms make antimatter particle beams - http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/GLAST/news/fermi-thunderstorms.html It's weird matter finally won at the beginning of our universe, according to the Big Bang theory. And weirder to think about multiverse theory though... but fascinating ! Because if antimatter can be find so near of us, it means antimatter hasn't been annihilated at the beginning. So, where are the anti protons, the positrons which balance our protons and electrons in the known universe ? An antimatter universe ? :spop: Fascinating, isn't it ?

  14. Jill Bolte Taylor's stroke of insight Jill Bolte Taylor got a research opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: She had a massive stroke, and watched as her brain functions -- motion, speech, self-awareness -- shut down one by one. An astonishing story. She is neuroanatomist. I'm reading her book : "My stroke of insight - A brain scientist's personal journey". - http://www.ted.com/talks/jill_bolte_taylor_s_powerful_stroke_of_insight.html
  15. 16. David Gallo shows underwater astonishments David Gallo shows jaw-dropping footage of amazing sea creatures, including a color-shifting cuttlefish, a perfectly camouflaged octopus, and a Times Square's worth of neon light displays from fish who live in the blackest depths of the ocean. http://www.ted.com/talks/david_gallo_shows_underwater_astonishments.html
  17. Just found this website. Wow :happy1: "TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. The annual TED conferences, in Long Beach/Palm Springs and Edinburgh, bring together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes or less)." Science, business, the arts and the global issues facing our world... The webdesign of this site is really cool - http://www.ted.com/
