  1. What link? The sticky? Works for me.
  2. The clown loaches are very slow growers but I suggest you rehome them and get more rummys.
  3. Yes, we had a heron eying up the fish but luckily I spotted him as soon as he arrived. The net didn't do a lot but we kept him off until the shrubbery grew higher than the fence so he no longer has somewhere to perch and the overhanging plants give him nowhere to stand and fish from now.

    The What's Up? thread.

You fix the time yourself by going into the user control panel and altering it to allow for the change The net was to keep a heron out but we don't have a problem with that now as the shrubbery has grown enough there is nowhere for it to perch.

Went to mow the lawn and discovered a very dead 8cm goldfish in the middle of the verandah &c:ry The claw marks on the body give us an idea as to the culprit. Just have to narrow down which of the many cats (none of them ours) it was  Since we have never seen any cats take any notice of the fish I wonder if this one may have been ill and floated near enough for a curious cat to hook it out with ease. They did not eat it, just carried it several metres then left it for the ants
  6. He could follow the instructions from the article about breeding cardinal tetras could he not? This is in the article section on the Home Page.
  7. Thanks for that. I didn't see it. Yes, that are a couple of ivy-like things and Pandorea jasminoides is one of them.
  8. As a 29 gallon, I am assuming the tank is around 3ft? If you have used stuff from a running tank, and only added 4 platies, you may not see a rise in ammonia or nitrites. If the 4 fish survive a month then add another 4. If all right after another month, add another 4 until stocking level is reached. Actually, if some of the filter media is from an established tank, you could probably add 4 more small platy sized fish now. Don't worry about the pH, the fish will be used to local water conditions and, you are right, better to leave it a bit high than try and alter it. 7.6 isn't too terrible.
  9. Brownish and long?? I have no idea. Was it in one of the pics in the link? I looked through but couldn't see what you meant apart from the upright posts for the pergola.
  10. I thought you meant the rocks for a minute! :slfg:
  11. They made fun of him because they were bullies - geddit???? :slfg:
  12. Sunday April 22nd. Starts 10am at the Dick Smith carpark, corner of Queen St/Gladstone Rd. Richmond. Carpooling from here would be a good idea. All welcome.

    Hi from Kapiti

Welcome to someone older than me :slfg:
  14. Peat refers to "dirt" whereas peat moss is another name for sphagnum moss.
  15. You would be surprised at how much an 8 year old can understand if you read an adult book (like Stella's) together. Her book ought to have all the information you need to produce something at a young child's level.
  16. Personally I am not a fan of adding chemicals and prefer lots of daily water changes if water conditions are not good. If you mean something like Prime though I guess it can't hurt. If it is HITH you need to treat it with the correct medication too. Good luck.
  17. Floofie has its own Easter egg :slfg:

  19. This has now been locked at the original poster's request.
  20. Since it was a TM name we (or I at least) assumed you meant to search the TM site.
