  1. Hi and welcome. I moved your post as I felt more reptile lovers would see it here
  2. :iag: I had 1 female with definite bristles around her top lip.
  3. I find most fish pretty tolerant of variants in these things. As long as they are not subjected to a sudden change then they adapt. Many were not bred in the "preferred" parameters to start with these days! Some need something specific when breeding, otherwise it is not usually a problem.

Our budgie and conure both loved chicken.
  5. We had a great time in Napier at the MX5 Rally. We also got costumes to match (the theme was Art Deco) for this and for when we go out in the 1928 Chrysler...
  6. I shall see what I can do :-) HELLS FISH :ske:
  7. Yellow is most visible on the road :dnc1: I started off years ago on a Honda Nifty 50 so have gone full circle

    Bambi tastes better than Thumper
  9. After looking around I decided to get this... Cheaper than a good quality electric bike and easier on the back (and legs).
  10. You can use gravel, depending on the type of goldfish. If you have one of the fancy ones that eat at the surface, rather than the bottom, you won't have a problem.
  11. Goldfish have been known to swallow stones and get a blockage.

Was it a very old mouse or disabled? Did he also kill it, or let it go under the fridge?
  13. Am now ensconced in our motel room in Napier. Ferry trip was very relaxing but getting out of Wellington was horrendous. Bumper to bumper to bumper to bumper to bumper to bumper all the way up the coast! Early start in the morning with all the cars going on display at the soundshell.

Waiting for the Aratere to sail. We had been given a complimentary ticket to the fancy private area so only had to pay extra for one of us. Thought we would try it out. Very posh. Quiet, no screaming kids, roomier loos, a private deck, free food and drink, a concierge ready to help when needed, and free internet access (only 100Mb but we have a T stick and Vodem as well) :dnc1: Worth the $30 for the nicer toilets alone I reckon  Left the house full of kids and dogs. The dogs were bringing in wet grass and leaves that were stuck to their fur so the kids had better vacuum before we get home as the house was nice and clean before they arrived! (I say "kids" but they are both 30 :bggrn: )
  15. A pain in the butt isn't it Alan? Hover the mouse over the top right corner of the photo and a drop down menu will appear and include "Get Links". Click on "Get Links" then click on the bottom choice "IMG codes". It will automatically copy the link for you. Then go to your forum post and paste the link there. When you submit the message the photo ought to show in the post.
  16. It is probably going to get noisy here as my son and his partner (menagerie) are coming up with their 2 border collies. The dogs are good most of the time except the younger of the 2 goes berserk at the big boxer next door - who replies in kind. Luckily, Grant and I will be away for Easter weekend so won't be around to hear it. While the kids and dogs have the run of the house and yard, we will be heading for a National MX5 Rally in Napier. So any of you there this weekend, keep an eye out for us! Ours is the bright red one with FIX A PC plates :happy2:
  17. Welcome back old timer! How's the family? Is your son still keeping fish? How is your health these days?
  18. I don't know that "interested" would be the word I would use for me but I am curious to know what the machine will do once you have transformed it :dunno:
  19. No idea. I am just passing on the message.
  20. Hi and welcome back. What sort of car accident? Are you OK now? What has been happening in your part of the world?
  21. This will be held Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 August, 10am - 5pm daily at the Claudelands Events Centre. Tania Dunkley has asked if anyone is able to do a fish display at this. She said she knows the Hamilton fish club is unable to commit to anything but wonders if there is a keen individual, shop, or group, willing to give it a go? Even just a single display tank would do. This is a good opportunity to get fish keeping out there as a great hobby. Anyone here willing to give it a go? If so, contact Tania ASAP. Box 8901, Christchurch 8440 63 Matipo Street, Christchurch, NZ The FNZAS can help you with posters and probably source leaflets or cards to hand out as well, with details about our web site and this forum.
  22. When it is in the tank add charcoal to the filter and the tannins will eventually be removed
  23. I think mum was just being thoughtful - knowing you were a bit pushed for space while the house is being repaired so put 2 in the 1 egg as an economy measure
