Too late, she knows what we are up to
I might split my amount in half and do half your way and half mine. Will try and remember to take photos and give a report later tonight 8)
DON'T LOOK STELLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Err I never said there was a fish tank in the loo - it will be in the bathroom!
Come to think of it, when renovations are finished we will no longer have a bath in there. Perhaps bathroom is a bit of a misnomer now :-?
Sorry Stella. I promise to feel guilty as I eat them and I will apologise afterwards too
I will give Barrie's suggestion a go but don't touch beer as it is loathsome stuff :-?
I don't eat live fish!
I don't buy whitebait either - too expensive. This bag was given to me this morning and is 1lb which is about 450g I think.
My dad (born and bred on the West Coast of the South Is) uses this recipe...
Beat together 3 eggs and 1tsp salt
Add 1/2 - 3/4C flour and 1tsp baking powder
Mix to a smooth batter with milk.
Add 1lb whitebait.
Don't mix too much and don't mix it again after it has been first mixed.
Cook as patties.
This makes the whitebait go further than Barrie's method
When feeding the fish with bits of bread...
Don't throw in a whole slice...
The fish get a bit excited...
and then have the bread stolen from above...

I assume you mean baby rabbits
By the way, rabbits don't care if they are brother and sister (or father and daughter, mother and son etc etc etc)
I would go with Ron's suggestion as he knows about discus.
I was going to say once a day, since they are used to multiple daily feedings.
I go away for up to 2 weeks and leave the fish to fend for themselves. As my fish only get fed once or twice a week and I only do water changes once every few months that isn't a problem for me (but I don't have discus).
Fish lie! They always claim they are starving. Ignore them. Less food will not harm them. Better for them to be a little more hungry than usual than to feed the same but not do the usual water changes.
Make sure you divide food into containers so mum does not overfeed either (she will not believe they are lying)
Any locals able to do a water change or 2 for you?
Cut back now to what they will get while you are away. This will reassure you they are not coming to harm, or will starve while you are away.
I would even try a week of cutback feeds and water changes to see the result before you go too.
Make sure the filter is operating well before you go.
I get my driftwood from the Hokitika beach. I just give it a good hose down and a light scrub with a nail brush (or toothbrush in the tight corners). The small amount of salt stuck in it should be negligible when added to the tank.
I assume that pic is sideways :-?
If you have threaded everything correctly it should be fine. One way to find out!
PS. It isn't my fault if it isn't right either!
Well done for finding the flower.
Cameras have a close-up function called macro. It is usually indicated in a screen display as a small flower (a tulip I think) hence the term flower button. I usually refer to it as tulip mode myself
Using macro will give us a clear shot of the object close up rather than focussing on your lovely floor in the distance
I'm afraid I have not seen one of those filters. If it is a plug of some sort one would expect it to be on the top of the filter somewhere :-?
Does it have ribbed hoses? Is it to shut off a hose or an alternative outlet for a hose somewhere perhaps
