  1. http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii23 ... /004-1.jpg Just thought I would show you guys what she looks like since I explained her whole personality too you  Here is my girl, she is a rescue cat and we love her too bits, her name is Roxy Here she is as a kitten http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii23 ... kitten.jpg
  2. The only time you can scratch my cats tummy is if she asks for it. She will lie on her side and stretch herself out very long, that is the only time you can scratch her tummy. If she does not invite you she will bite you, just a warning bite then she runs off, nothing serious that draws blood
  3. I just started the aquarium hobby so my fish are all what I started with in September last year, but my neighbour has a very old bristlenose male that is 14 years old, and the old guy is still going strong, I had to give her babies to clean the tank though , all he does is hang out on his bogwood all day
  4. I have no idea Ira, I just know the guy breeds discus so its adult ones that are able to breed. :-?
  5. Cats have very different personalities. My cat for instance knows if she keeps on scratching the side of my bed while I try to sleep then I will let her out. So she will purposely wake me by scratching my bed, as I get up she runs off to the door...knowing she will be let out. Try to see where your cat scratches you, is it near the kitchen she might want food or something. My cat also trips me by getting under my feet if I am in the kitchen cause she wants her treat of whiskas milk LOL but she does not get her way all the time since it is a treat. Have you recently ignored her or hushed her away, sometimes they can hold grudges too. Like I have learned dogs have masters and cats have staff

    Hi there

Thanks I am loving it here allready
  7. Thanks Mel, what size would you suggest? Maybe 4cm or will 5cm be better
  8. I wonder if I could just add a question here or whether its best to start a new thread. I would just like to know if full grown discus would attempt to eat 2cm big bristlenose babies or whether I should wait till they are a bit bigger. I have allready housed 5 babies at this size to two different homes and they are thriving over there But with that said I must add that they are with smaller school fish like neons and danio's. Could you guys please advice me on the size they should be before I let the discus owner have them
  9. They do it on purpose. They know its school holidays and when I go shopping with my kids they are gonna jump up and down and preform until I buy them  Very bad for us, very good for them
  10. I do that too  They got a super nice new driftwood and a new plant this year
  11. Oooh I absolutely love them. They are gorgeous, addorable, cute and the list goes on LOL. you can tell I love pleco's
  12. He is absolutely beautiful, I just love any type of pleco, suckerfish type fish. My heart just melts when I see them
  13. Wow He is a very handsome fellow I just love the BN Males
  14. My bristlenoses only eat courgette and hikari algae wafers, once a week I will give them a protein tablet. It seems to be enough considering they were 2-3cm when I got them four months ago and now they are 8-9cm
  15. So are they actually stressed? Oh no I can't have that, I will see what I can do
  16. Wowsers some nice BN's Yours are all spotty, mine are all patchy LOL
  17. Thanks for all the replies. I decided to return it today, Animates were nice enough to say I can return it. I am browsing around on trade me for a smaller tank with filter, I don't want to use my quarantine tank just in casse fish get sick.
  18. I could not cope with it anymore and took them out. They are now in the big tank, I will look around on trademe for a smaller tank to use just for them
  19. Won't they eat their own young then? The breeder trap has the special partician for the babies. Gosh I feel so bad for them, can you see, are they deffinetly pregnant?
  20. I went into my petshop and told them that several people told me that my two female platty cross swordtails are pregnant and that I should get a breeding trap, because the male harasses them by ramming them from behind. They try to hide away a lot and the black spot on their tummies is getting bigger by the day. They said that yes I should get a breeding trap, which I did, bought the biggest one they had, but it looks so cruel, what should I do guys, I am so torn at the moment, Want them and their babies safe, but don't want them all trapped like that. Here is a vid of them http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii23 ... nt=004.flv
