I wish I think the scouts will re use them like they did our ship and dinosaurs we made, but both my husband and myself are no longer scout leaders because our kids lost interest in it and stopped going, so it just was not the same anymore, but the ship was awesome I will try and get a pic of it. It took us two months to make it. My husband did all the woodcutting and shaping and I did the drawings

I have been painting and painting and painting and only finished one set of puzzle boxes for the international Kea Day, I still have two sets to finish. This is the one set that is finish. The puzzle is nine boxes, the kids aged 5 to 7 must put them together to form the picture. There is four sides with a picture on each box, so they need to figure out which side is the right side first.
  4. You could do what I did and buy some silicone (sp) and put it all over the pipe and then roll it around in your current type of gravel and or sand. That way it would blend in very nicely. Or you could take fishing line and wrap some christmas moss right around it as well. If you don't want to do either of those then I hope someone can help you with paint info, because I just got puzzled faces at Bunnings, Hammerhardware and Mitre 10
  5. LOL I do buy it and frozen bloodworms, but my puffers only eat the bloodworms, they don't like the frozen brineshrimp, but they absolutely love to hunt, so I thought hunting brineshrimp that are live would be a nice treat instead of so many ramshorn snails
  6. Thanks all, I was not aware of the brackish water thing. My puffers are freshwater so it won't work. Just wanted to treat them a little, guess they must be happy with bloodworms then
  7. Donna you are doing a fantastic job
  8. I would like to put some brineshrimp eggs in my puffertank and let them hatch so they can munch on them as they are free swimming, only problem is I don't know if its possible to do it, because everytime I google it or ask lfs for advice they want me to buy a little shirmp hatchery thingy that you attach a 2litre bottle too. All the google searches said the same as well.
  9. I love this video, I don't like spiders but this is cute, how he scratches and then genuinly snuggles his little body into the sand, and then end is just classic, I think he just wanted some time out :slfg:
  10. I am not an expert, but I would suggest running a cc cleaner or something similar. Or perhaps you can try this link instead, its the same website but just not the main page http://www.fishpond.co.nz/Toys/Nerf-N-Strike-Raider-Rapid-Fire-Nerf-N-Strike/0653569511823

    sore plec :(

I had a similar problem with my chocolate zebra quite a while back, see the thread here http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=46756 My little choccie made a full recovery after treating him with furan2, which could have been used for both a battle wound and a burn. All the best, keep us updated
  12. I bought some at animates and ended up chucking it all, none of my fish liked it or even attempted to eat it. Did you know it has kangaroo in it too :slfg:

  17. If my hubby gets sick then the thermometer gets used every five minutes to make sure that I am aware of his fever, he needs to have a little washcloth for his face, I get told repeatedly how sore his body is and to look at his teary eyes, when i am sick I clean the house, feed the family and tend to everyones need, while I am feeling horrible but not showing it to everyone around me.

Tell me about it, they were fine until I limited their time on the playstation, wii and computer, not its the end of the world for them. I used to read books on rainy days or draw pictures or even wrote make believe stories, on sunny days my mom used to see me in the morning having breakfast and at about half past four I would only return home, I used to play outside in my fort I made myself or at a friend's place. I use to play lots of pretend games, kids now a day don't have an immagination, books does not exist for them, its sad really, I have tried and tried, limiting games and tv only makes them sad and bored
  19. For all the woman who had to deal with the man flue or all the woman who will still one day have to deal with the man flue, apparently it is not just all a big dramatic event, men do feel more ill when it comes to the common cold  http://www.smh.com.au/national/its-true-mens-colds-are-worse-20110624-1gjnv.html

Day 2 of the shool holidays and all I hear is ... Mom I am bored, mom I don't know what to do, Mom keep us busy  Where are the days of playing outside until dark building forts, skateboarding, playing hide and seek, or if it rains inside, building forts, drawing pictures, colouring and so on. This holiday is gonna seem like its lasting forever if day 2 is like this :nilly:
  21. I think the movies were well done and ended of brilliantly, it just had lots of missing pieces that was important in the books, but then again they did not really add those to the rest of the movies so it did not seem lost in the movies if you did not read the books. EG... Dumbledore would not look or talk to Harry unless it was absolutely neccessary after he found the ring. It was because Harry and Voldemort was too connected and Dumbledore was scared that Voldemort would see through Harry's eyes, infact he sometimes did because Dumbledore could see the hatred in Harry's eyes withoug Harry even realising it. A very important thing not mentioned as well and this is why Dumbledore chose to die is that the ring was cursed and Dumbledore put it on his finger and it started killing him, he would have died anyways and much sooner than the movie stated. Now most of the things I mentioned above was also seen by Harry while looking at Snape's memories, but in the movie that was not seen, everyone thought it was because he drank from that basin to get to the ring that made him ill. Well that is my six cents, hope the harry potter finale make more sense to some of you fans out there now :nilly:
