  1. http://www.wikihow.com/Stop-a-Dog-from-Digging don't have a doggy at home, but found this, the sandbox seems like a good idea, its similar to my cats carpet she is allowed to scratch but not my floor carpets in my house. She knows which one is hers, perhaps the doggy would no which is his sandbox too.
  2. I watch to much ci channel, so mind usually goes into csi mode  Its still sad though, but would an amonia spike not left traces of amonia in your water? How could it still test right ? Sometimes I don't understand deaths of fish. I had one otto die after the other, only have one left now.

  8. my nr is not registered, so I don't get too many irritating calls. I did get one from Skye the other day, this woman kept on nagging me to get Realto channel. I kept on saying no I am not interested and she said yes but its free for a month then you just phone us and cancel it. I told her NO because I might forget to phone and then I have to pay extra, she kept on repeating herself so I said, ok ok ok I will take it, she said just a few minutes....its been activated could you check so and so channel, I said yes its on, so she said is there anything else I can help you with. I said yes I would like to cancel Realto its not really for us, she kept quiet I said could I please cancel now, she said yes and said check your channel is it off, I said yes and hung up
  9. I used to have a big white one with black spots as a child. His name was Mickey and he was hardley ever in his cage, he used to sit on my shoulders when I cycled around to friend's houses after school, and he used to sleep on my pillow at night times until I fell asleep then he would go walk about in the house. I loved Mickey so much, he died when he started getting this huge lump in his side, I was very sad when he died, but now at my age I currently are, I am too scared to touch the little buggers :slfg: I was much braver as a child, I had a bobbejaan spinnekop as a pet as well, that is a nice big spider. Used to catch him little bugs and flies, I also had a pet chameleon, but that was then
  10. awwww  Joshua is a big Scooby fan like my daughter :slfg: Its amazing what those little fishies indured, I wish them the very best tank in the world, they are afterall like a celebrity fish now
  11. I read all the books and watched all the movies, and I found that lots of important little details were left out of the movies. I went to watch the last part yesterday morning, it was very well done, but I still had the feeling that something was missing. My husband (not a reader) only watched the movies and he had so many questions that only I could answer him because I read the books, do any of you find that too? If there is some Harry Potter fans out there of course, :slfg:

Aww thanks Sophia Joe how is that green curry, you have me heating up some left overs now :sml2:
  16. I could try some of my christmas moss from my big tank its similar. Only thing is, when I do their waterchange I completely remove the rocks so I can clean properly. They are messy little eaters especially when they hunted a couple of snails. I could tie it to the top rocks and then just quickly remove it with a waterchange. I will have a play around when they are awake tomorrow. I don't like to bother my fish after lights out, both are in their seperate little rock tunnels sleeping anyways
  17. I tried some fake plants, they did not seem to like them, that is why I have all the rocks in there now, they seem to love those. I made lots of hidey holes with my arangement of stones, just can't take a picture now they are sleeping I also tried real plants but they did not do well, its just a silly little led light in that tank, not good enough for plants. They all died, I managed to save an ambulia by putting it in my main tank, but even something as easy as watersprite looked very sad in there.
  18. I just love them to bits, I handfeed them too, which makes them even more special to me  That might explain the colour and size difference, the one that showed lines and wrinkles first is much more yellow and bigger than the other one. The other one is smaller and more gray-ish in colour. The bigger one is the one in my avatar
  19. Its a 20 litre blueplanet tank. Not much hiding places but clearly divided with the rocks. There is two seperate little tunnels one on each side of the stones edited to add. Since this photo I have made a tight tunnel like you can see on the right side on the left side as well, but on opposite sides. So they don't face each other
  20. When I went to buy my little puffers I was very selective and took my time. Since they are not sexable at a young age I sat infront of the puffertank and looked at each one intently. I noticed two little puffers that swam together the whole time. Even when the guy put the net in to catch some for other people these two would stick together. So I picked them. The one showed his wrinkles and tummyline quite early and the other one is more gray-ish than yellow so I thought she might be a girl, but a couple of weeks ago I noticed its deffinetly a boy, wrinkles and tummy line showing. They are not aggressive towards each other, no chasing and so on. They share snails, its actually cute to see, the one would peck the snail and then the other and so on until its all gone. They never fight when I feed them their bloodworms. But I am still worried that they will eventually fight till the death as I have heard from other puffer keepers What is your opinions, will they be ok or not. :dunno:
  21. what about it you put in a little side entrance door, its not that difficult, Hubby put one in our garage for me, cause I was battling to open the door from the inside and once the wind shut it on me and I was stuck in there LOL
  22. Yay, its good he has a large appetite, that is always good news. Well done once again Donna that turtle is so lucky to have been placed in your hands :happy2:

    The What's Up? thread.

Have been very tearful today. Its my Mom's 50th and I can't be with her, I miss her so much, have not seen her for almost 7 Years now Hubby took me for subways and I just stared at my fishtank, then saw one of my zebra loaches attack and eat a snail, that cheered me up a bit
  24. :sml1: yes something like that, I even left it in water for a week and once in the warmer tank water it was slimepants galore  so now my puffertank has a whole new look that is not spongebob anymore
  25. I would not advice it, they are now in my daughters room and she uses it as toys. They cause a horrible slime coating, not sure if its the resin they used, but I have scrubbed boiled and everything and it instantly causes the slime once they are back in the tank again
