TBH it's not really the best quality, bubbles on one side. I've emailed the supplier and they are sending a replacement. I would like to try EI dosing on this tank or PMDD, can't really afford to splash on the ADA ferts forever.... :roll: Question - does PMDD have PO4?

They are from fish-street. I think a spray-bar is more effective though...... :roll:

UPDATE 2 days after setup everything is stable, slightly green water which hopefully I should be able to fix with a couple water changes. New Rhinox diffuser installed and root tabs planted to give the glosso a boost. New hairgrass shoots popping up already...

On the right side. The left side looks o.k to me.....

Big bunch of java fern and another bunch of java fern.

I plan to get this one mature and see where I go from there. Best way to get better at scaping is by scaping I guess. I don't have the funds to setup another tank at this stage. :roll:

UPDATE Done. Saved the water from my last setup so no cycling required.....

Same fish as the last setup - 3 otto's and 10 emerald eye's

PREVIEW Again I have gone for the Flourite base with Manado on top. At this stage plants are just glosso and HR, might add a couple more bits..... :roll: Will stay like this till tomorrow now, it's been a long day planting. Water is really murky

UPDATE Plants are now recovering from the fierce algae war... Lights are on for 8 hours and Co2 at 2bps. Dosing Brighty K, Flourish comp, trace and spot dosing with excel Sorry for the bad image, my Nikon needs a repair........

That's where I bought my regulator and glassware from.... Delivery was only 5 days!

Did you have anything else in the order? When mine arrived the package was clearly noted what was inside so I assume it's O.K to import....

UPDATE Finally I seem to be winning the battle with Staghorn! :bounce: I've pretty much been hacking away at the affected plants for the last 2 weeks and dosing excel daily. The glosso is starting to bounce back from almost total annihilation. To help stay ontop of the algae I have a purchased an Eheim 2224 which has increased my circulation and have ordered a Rhinox 2000 to improve my CO2 distribution.

Hi John, Thanks for the advise, I'm got some ADA Brighty K which is pretty much just potassium. I'll dose that during the week and see how it goes...

That's some nice kit! Which I could get a macro lens.... I've got a Nikon d40 which has travelled the world with me but now I'm thinking trade in :lol: :lol:

How much comprehensive daily? Should I drop the Brighty K lights (NPK)?

:lol: Currently @ 1bps... I broke my drop checker so it's a bit risky to push the CO2 too far ATM

I get pearling frequently.... mostly after water changes.
