Right now I'm going over all the layouts I've posted in this thread for the best one.
Empty the tank tomorrow morning and prepare the glosso hopefully be all running by late afternoon
I'm using flourite with manado on top with a sand foreground and a little graded gravel.
I love the glass but may change my mind when it needs cleaning
Anyone know where to get some? I've been looking about for it, may need to order from Ebay.
Picked up a few plants today. Not sure if I will use all these but by having them in front of me it will hopefully make it easier to choose. I have ordered 4 pots of glosso which hopefully will arrive next week.
I'll definitely use glosso, the moss stones and the java fern, the rest I'm not sure about.
Any suggestions?
I'm just being negative It' $10 a fill.
I really don't know how long it will last.... I live close to a Farmers so it's easy for me to get replacements as I'm crazy busy at work.
I'll look at getting a bigger bottle at some stage, just need to find a good supplier for the gas.
So happy to finally have it all running.... The regulator is awesome, so easy to adjust the bubble rate.

Yes!
2 packages arrived this morning, 13mm lily pipes and a sodastream adaptor.
These pipes seem to be made of thicker glass that the pipe I broke recently.
The Co2 will be running at about a bubble a second so not sure how long the sodastream bottle will last for. I may look at getting a bigger gas bottle later and use the sodastream as a back-up.
I'll be looking for plants over the next week :bounce:
I like the sound of that Can't get my light any closer than it already is though. Does covering the tank with gladwrap help?
My plan all along has been to plant this tank heavy from the get go to help reduce algae... so 4 or 5 pots of glosso grown emersed = 1 month
I've got 72w T5 hopefully would be enough for normal method in a 60cm
My Co2 adaptor has been deleyed so I thought I'd try getting ahead of myself.
I should administer myself a slap for being impatient.....
Evening!
Has anyone here tried growing an emersed glosso carpet and successfully switch to submersed?
I have searched this forum and there is a little information, but just wondering if there is anyone who has had a go recently....
Is it even worth trying? Or am I a mug?
Native! go native. This looks like a very exciting project and if you collect plants from the sounds you're surrounded by inspiration!
Best of luck with this,
