  2. maybe it took him a while to realise he wasn't in his original home and since those triggers are gone he's now forgotten his old routines.... ah the joy of toilet training... I'm sure they make nappies for dogs :sml2:

    This or that

    retro cheesecake or cake?
  5. Wee2, I recommend NOT using formalin unless you know the fish has an external parasite. It's pretty harsh and dangerous to humans, I think you shouldn't be using it for this condition at all.
  6. If you are after good quality food for fry I just bought some 0-50 micron and 50-100 sized Golden Pearls from Dorl on TM and all my little fish like them. They are apparently high in protein so good for raising fry. You can get the 0-50 for the newborns and bigger stuff for the older ones. I find that I probably could have bought the 50-100 only as the difference in size isn't really obvious to the naked eye. Also you get a small medicine pot full for about $6 and it lasts forever as you don't even need a pinch worth.
  7. those NO Bugs sprays work pretty well for ants and spiders if you aren't always washing the windows
  8. I was going to ask how the cat was coping... poor kitty haha
  9. Bunnings also reasonable price and you have one at Botany. Expol are about same or cheaper but from Highland Park it's more of a drive to Onehunga

    The What's Up? thread.

I like that kitty photo, she does indeed look grumpy. Squirt, if you want cheap-cheap try a landscaping supplies store, I got a 25kg back of river sand for I think about $6. They usually have different grades and colours too.

In other news, this evening I did a feed, then a little while later a water change and moved the male rasbora in with the females in the breeding tank and then left them to it. This one has the marbles in the bottom so hopefully I get some fry from this experiment. Also found I still have 5 celestial pearl danio fry in the grow out tank which also makes me exceeeedingly happy. Their golden pearls arrived yesterday and so far all the little fish are excited to eat it. I took a video of some yesterday but photobucket wouldn't upload it.
  17. what a cool cake. Good idea making it with cupcakes too. I like threads about cake.
  18. :rotf: On the other hand, those photos do make it look like a huge bug. I hope I don't have bad dreams about bugs tonight now
  19. Dwarf rasbora - like ember tetra they will colour up nicely when they settle in. Depends how small you want to go I suppose but at the moment they are only about $3.50 each and seem quite hardy too.
  20. you mean like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyvAG8vAeMo :rotf: or this
  21. I'd call those big then  My spider lodgers must be another sort. I really like jumping spiders that hang about usually in the bathroom where the window is open. They seem to have character and I like the way they dart around.
