I knew he would turn up marinefishforlife, how did you like the offerings of Auckland?
  2. I don't know Mark's last name so one of you will have to dob him in as he is suspiciously absent..... :gigl:
  3. I was trying to be diplomatic... she's really my sister in law :sml2: I'm glad Anthony is laughing.... am sure you will get me back :spop:
  4. I'm just going to move your thread to the diseases section as it sounds like there is something wrong... loaches can be sensitive to water quality as they don't have scales to protect them as much as other fish, but that is far as I can help as I don't know much about those. Also check out Loaches Online there is a big stash of information on there
  5. he's going to kill me :digH:
  6. :sml2: a sinecure would be the opposite of motherhood Nobody tell Anthony Law about the link ... he may not be amused ...... :rotf: :spop:

  9. is it heavy enough to sink so it could be used as a fish cave?
  10. GrahamC, have you tried this stuff on your own fish? Personally I am hesitant to try medications or take suggestions of things that people haven't tried. If I was desperate I might but I'd rather hear advice about things people have used successfully first.
  11. This year is year of the Dragon - and I am one..... though meek and mild in real life.... who else is a dragon?
  12. I usually go for a snorkel once or twice every summer. I think I have met the big old snapper in the movie called MonkeyFace too. If you swim to the bottom and turn over a rock or 2 the snapper usually come to have a look and from there follow you about  . I believe the new Visitor Centre is now open which has some interactive displays and the like. http://leighmarine.auckland.ac.nz/ This is where the Japanese woman who drowned last year was studying - I believe she was wearing a wetsuit too so always pays to be careful and never go alone.
  13. Thought I'd share this as I enjoyed the narration and found it interesting. There are 2 parts, each about 15 mins long. http://www.youtube.com/user/seafriends11/videos
  14. 'crop' keeps the photo at the same size for a while until you start cropping it smaller than it's actual size, but 'resize' will shrink it proportionatly either by percentages or to a fixed pixel size you choose. I often crop off the bits I don't want to see first and then resize it.
  15. It is regressing and I'm waiting patiently for an update from Wee2 :spop: :cofn: Graham, you will find the original thread if you search under Wee2 in the diseases section - there was an inflammatory mass and some inflammatory posts but it is interesting reading
  16. maybe at Simon's house his mozzies are so big and fat and heavy they have to have a landing pad or they get sucked under 8)
