  1. I suspect she may get them through the gamer review job
  2. When you have 3 kids, another on the way, 4 tanks and bills up the waa whoo, even 34 bucks a week on a tipple is hard to justify sometimes
  3. So with the basic still setup, can you only make the base alcohol then add the flavorings or can I make a rum from the get go?
  4. I like a couple of rums at night but man it's quite expensive really, decided to see if it was viable to make my own but all the evidence points to it being quite complicated, and the only still on *that site* was about 800 bucks......I don't think so Tim!!. Was wondering if any of you clever buggers on here knew how to make a cheap still or a cheats way at making a nice smooth rum?
  5. Saw some Bumble bee gobbies at LPS today, thought they were cool lil guys, you could have a school of those....

    Giday.

G'day mate, be careful bro, this is how it all starts, one tank leads to another, then another, it all gets out of hand after that.
  7. It looks quite sturdy and the two divisions will enforce the integrity of the top. I would say it would prolly be OK, but this cabinet was just not designed for that type of weight, and to be honest I personally wouldn't use it for such a big tank. You'll just have to decide if you want to take the risk. I'm looking at our two Aqua one stands and they aren't anywhere near as sturdy as that.....
  8. She only likes being patted or even touched on her own terms, once you get to know her it's easy to spot the signs that she's not impressed, she scowls or twitches her tail. What's interesting though is how she behaves around little babies. She'll smack or bite anyone without a moments hesitation(as our kids have and are learning) but little weeny babies she'll tolerate. They'll yank on her, pull her ears, yank her tail and she'll just sit there, scowling with her ears down, but she won't react. But once the babies get to around 9 months old it's no holds barred, at first it's just a light wack to warn them, then a light bite, after that it's good hard scratch or bite, then she'll run away. LOL our dog is terrified of her
  9. aha, yup. ours is a tortoise shell........I don't know why but they are "special"
  10. no, but our cat lays on her back and acts all cute, people who don't know say"awww, how cuuute" and rub her tummy, and wack, the claws dig in along with the teeth, and it's a real effort to extract her....she was Hitlers cat in a past life.
  11. We bought a huge lead sinker off lea distributors to weigh down the drift wood in our comp tank, when I explained to the fulla behind the counter what we where using it for he raised his eye brows and said don't do that, lead sinkers have some other stuff mixed into them these days which would poison the water, I smiled politely and said I'd take the risk. But every bottom dwelling fish we've put in the tank dies within a few days. The other day we put a skinny clown loach in there, he was fine a part from being thin, and with in a few hours he was lying on his side on the bottom of the tank, we whipped him out and put him in another tank and now he's fine...so perhaps that fulla at lea distributors was right and you should use the older unshiny lead sinkers.
  12. LOL I reckon, prolly way more likely to get cancer if you smoke than die in a car crash if you drive, then again I can talk, I quit smoking about 5 years ago but still buy a pack for parties and swipe a half dozen off my mates for golf.....
  13. I guess when you're dealing with something as breakable and expensive as a tank you're better off paying that little bit extra to ensure top quality service.
  14. Aye, we cycle fishless as well using Cycle or Stress Zyme, then as NZcookies said, add fish slowly, and every thing seems to work out.

  16. This is almost hypnotic, the original email we received said it was real but it's pretty obvious within the first few seconds it's cgi, still cool to watch though, catchy tune too.
  17. They don't play Nickleback period, they've been banned, I asked them to chuck The Killers and Creed also but Alas, to no avail.
  18. I love Ramjet "Is that you Dean????..........How dare you!!!! I curse you.............." I don't listen to the rock because of the new rock music they play, I like the old school classic rock
  19. I was curious as to what radio stations everyone listens to at work. Being a Dairy farmer I couldn't be without my Radio, especially in the morning, it's like my best mate*sad I know*. I'm a Hauraki fan all the way, the morning pirates are good for a laugh...though I have to admit that Willy Dewit leaves me shaking my head at times.
  20. That's awesome dude, love the multi level, I should imagine you could have at least 4 or 5 sows a hutch that size, at a guess, though I'm sure there must be a "so many square ft per animal rule" I once made one with a large chemical drum, cut it down the middle long ways, stuck the two halves together, cut windows and a door, then wire meshed it. Unfortunately it was black plastic and they over heated in summer, had to put it under the trees all the time.
  21. LOL I totally agree............whoops.
