  1. haha my bad, didn't look at page 2
  2. http://www.trademe.co.nz/computers/othe ... 608307.htm Microsoft tablet, comes with the full Office suite.
  3. If you leave them long enough, they will form a trail. The random ones are scouts. Once you see the trail, follow them back to find out where they're coming from. No use picking them up or trying to break their trails as they follow an exact path marked down by the scouts. Just leave the scouts to do their thing. They'll find the bait eventually. My mum in Nelson had them really bad a few years ago. One day I managed to collect 2 ice cream containers of raining ants with the help of 2 big cans of fly spray. If you have kids around and see them outside on concrete, a fun trick is to get some thick chalk and draw a circle around them. The ants won't cross it and will just stay running around in the circle for hours, or until one of them builds up enough courage to just go for it.
  4. Yeah I don't quite have that much. Only 220W worth over mine. Planning to upgrade that a bit more though over the next couple of months.
  5. You could always buy a power meter from bunnings / mitre 10 that you can put on your tanks to measure how much power they're using. My current house is quite cold (full of gaps from the earthquakes), so my 450L marine tank uses about $40 / month in winter (including lights).
  6. It would depend how cold your house gets when you don't have heating. The heaters have to work against the ambient air temperature outside the tank, as the tanks are effectively working as a heater for your house. If you have your house constantly heated, then no it shouldn't be the tanks. If you let the temperature of the house drop a lot, then yes it could. Do keep in mind that powershop change the price of electricity during the year. Winter is the most expensive with summer being the cheapest. It's about a 4c / unit difference for me with powershop.
  7. Agreed. So many shooters and only 1 bullet landed? However, I can't wait for the next ep. Did you hear that they're making a spinoff show about Saul? Kind of a prequel focusing on Saul before he met Walter.
  8. I just did some snorkeling on the great barrier reef and used a DiCAPac case. Worked well. Wasn't on a DSLR though, I couldn't find one that would fit my gear and didn't want to order it online without being able to try it. There was enough light for me, but the water was a bit murky which didn't help much. I don't know how a flash would disperse in water, can't imagine it would be great. Absolutely agree about shooting in raw though. I never take mine off raw for anything.
  9. This is a joke. Even if it was true, it would be cheaper to buy those no name AA batteries from a shop as they don't have to worry about the extra packaging
  10. Agree with the previous posts. Avoid these no-name brands. It says it works with Google Play, but many of the cheap ones don't even though they run Android. If you look up reviews for those Audiosonic tablets, there are plenty of people who hate them. That HP one linked above would be far far far better.
  11. What kind of size are you after? I've bought them from plastic box (or whatever they call themselves now). John at Organism has bigger ones, not sure about small ones.
  12. ... and you're not even joking. Lucky you have your repairs. I'm still waiting for ours. I really feel for those in Seddon. Shame the media thinks Wellington is more important.
  13. If you can put up with the beeping on a UPS, it's probably the easiest. If your tank is cooling down that fast, it's obviously not very big and therefore the power usage of your heater wouldn't be too much. Could probably get a few hours out of a $150 UPS.
  14. I realise you say closing date is the 20th, but I fly out to Aus on the 20th for 2.5 weeks. Would be MUCH easier and quicker for me to get this done for you if you could have whatever info you do have to me by the 19th so I can do it Friday night before I fly out.
  15. http://www.fnzas.org.nz/?cat=105 You can see the list without being logged in.
  16. The club emails through a list of members to the FNZAS secretary who then gets me to change your account over I'm sure if someone can confirm that you are indeed a member, I could be convinced to set you up. Generally though, this will be in bulk rather than person by person as they join up.
  17. Why not just open the door when you want to do that?
  18. Why have windows in a filtration room? Just an extra place to lose heat and it will never look that good.
  19. I am so jealous right now. Looks awesome.
  20. Agreed. Although I think they're just building up to a huge twist / finale since this is the last season.
  21. If anyone is interested in a 50% off voucher, Proud Paws is on grabone today. 50% off. http://www.grabone.co.nz/christchurch/proud-paws
  22. I hope that the fins were sourced in some kind of environmentally friendly way (dead shark by catch or such like).
