  1. Whilst I agreed, this is somewhat difficult the way the numbers are skewed... a handful of staff, and a huge amount of customers. easier for the customer to remember the staff than staff to remember customers
  2. Depends what you mean by ancient fish... my senegalus have been around since the dinosaurs
  3. I know a guy who has a lapredei that is 30 years old.
  4. a smilie on the end of the sentence next time would help!
  5. Yes you are correct. I accept your explanation.
  6. Most normal people appreciate when you speak english to them. Scientific names are meaningless on their own unless the recipient knows exactly what it means, or there is confusion amongst species of whom common names are confused. theres no point in spouting scientific names unless its absolutely necessary. Anyone can use google. And yes, i do take that as an insult. And the comment about NGTs is highly contradictory. But i wont get into politics here.
  7. huh. my breeding tank was stained hard. but that was repeated usage.
  8. Yep what phoenix said, so long as you dont mind your tank silicone turning permanently blue

  13. really I thought Malawis were feeder fish?
  14. Well ill be contacting you all personally if I get them. Will have to be patient though, it could take sometime... they may not even be in season. ITs are in season atm in the US and here too.
  15. I religiously use wpg, but I only ever use T8s. Maybe I should get with the times!
  16. According to my calculation, that lighting gives you 0.62 watts per gallon. To grow with good to strong lighting requirements you will require 2-4 wpg (so 74-148w) Though there are plenty of good plants you can grow under low-light Bobo has my plant bible so I dont have the list in front of me
  17. Lol that tank would be empty... unless it was densely planted. In a 40g i used to have about 10 decent sized SA/CA cichlids...
  18. Nah you know what they are though, and the different varieties. Latin names dont matter too much.
  19. Is that your official photo to simon?
  20. Lol nice. I dont have that many fish bags!
  21. Cheers David. these fellas know, its for the 'uneducated' ones out there, as thats what they sell as. I had to educate the importer the other week in an attempt to get NGTs. fingers crossed!
  22. I was feeding them on cichlid gold mainly travis. Ill try and get you some cheap, but its gonna be about 2 weeks until my special order comes in
  23. I have a 2006 and I have to say they are very impressive filters - in their power, construction, features etc.. best internal filter i have ever come across!
