  1. Very quiet tonight, just me in there. Everyone must be out on the town.
  2. I call my 2ft cube my "big" tank because it's the biggest tank I've ever had, but I wouldn't describe it as huge or massive. It's not always about the tank (except when stocking big fish), it's about how you use it. Many times I've seen nano tanks that look heaps better than monster tanks. IMO: -Less than 50L is nano -50L-150L is average -150L-250L is medium -250L-400L is big -400L-1000L is huge -1000L+ is massive Exceptions to those of course 8)
  3. Overstocked, maybe. I'd be more concerned at the combination of fish you have in there :-? Is that a pair of Dwarf Gourami and a pair of Blue Rams? They can both get aggressive around breeding time and a 620T might not be large enough. BNs get pretty big in the end too and the glass cats get to around 10cm I think. Whatever works you you though really. Just IMO

    Jarring Fry

I picked up a soldering iron from Bunnings for under $20 I think, just get one of the low powered ones if you want to save money. Once it's heated up, making holes is easy, just be patient 8)
  5. Bigger pic http://showcase.aquatic-gardeners.org/I ... iew/20.jpg Whole tank http://showcase.aquatic-gardeners.org/2 ... ol=1&id=10 HTH 8)
  6. Just trying to help, it's the largest planted tank gallery I know of
  7. Small fish in a big tank help hugely to change the sense of scale. Unlike fish that are just the right size for the tank, they actually make the tank look somewhat bigger than it is. http://showcase.aquatic-gardeners.org/2 ... w-showcase Choose image size 640x480 and browse the index of entries of whichever tank size you choose.
  8. Good luck with the CPDs, hope all goes well 8)

    eBay?

I'm sure there's a way you could, but it's bound to cost more than the plant is worth. It'll all have to go through MAF I think

    Jarring Fry

You could make a drip system, more complicated than the soda bottles but you can have X number of jars in the system. Perhaps you could even make a tall, wide but not very deep cupboard lined with poly and heat that with jars in it? How old are the fry when you need to jar them? HTH
  11. Show off! But seriously, that is a nice collection of fighters. How do you get all the different colours? Surely you can't have a pair for each colour?
  12. I haven't seen them I say film, sound much cooler 8) Ditto
  13. Personally I would have done it completely differently, 'gumi 'scape and such BUT... I like how this is. I don't have the skills or knowledge to create something like this, it looks messy and chaotic yet perfect for the fish it's housing and still pleasing to the eye. Good job 8)
  14. I would venture as far to say Totally Fab
