The only way I've found is to run out of money
  3. Yes, definitely keep small fish in a tank this size, it will help greatly with sense of scale. Are you going for the "low-tech" planted look?
  4. Usually it's just called hairgrass. Under the right lights and conditions it should stay short.
  5. User: Hello. Cleverbot: Hello. User: What are you doing? Cleverbot: Nothing and you. User: Also nothing. Cleverbot: Some computer you are. User: Yeah, I need new RAM. Cleverbot: Is this pam? User: Yes. Cleverbot: Do you like music? User: Yes. Cleverbot: What kind of music do you like? User: European melodic death metal. Cleverbot: Wow, me too. User: Really? Who is your favourite band then? Cleverbot: The Beatles.
  6. I've found that it has a sort of "starting time" usually. For me, it takes a month or two for it to become established in my tanks, then it really rockets off.
  7. Glosso under those lights and with CO2 should stay under an inch (2.5cm) where as dwarf HG is usually around 2 inches (5cm). HTH
  8. This needs to be moved to Aquatic plants. But I'm going to answer your question with more questions. 1. How much lighting do you have? 2. What sized tank do you have? 3. Do you want a long or short foreground?
  9. Sam: How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Not so clever bot: However many he wants to. Sam: What if said woodchuck wasn't sufficiently motivated to carry out the task at hand? Not so clever bot: Is that why they're keeping you there? This makes no sense :-? And who said the woodchuck is a he?
  10. Brackish is a salt and fresh water mix, like an estuary. Tannin filled water is very soft water, usually not near an ocean. Hope this helps 8)
  11. You have glass cats in a tank that size?

    Hi :)

    Welcome to the fishroom!
  13. Looks cool, could do with something in the background though. I'd go all out or not at all with this tank though. Seems to be a lot of 60cm long tanks around 8)

    Hi from AKL

    Welcome to the fishroom!
  15. I know my all of my Bettas that have died from dropsy have been overfed
  16. Dropsy at this stage is incurable unfortunately. It would be best to put the sick fish out of its misery. Sorry to hear this but I hope this helps.
  17. I was going to say, is LA THAT young?
  18. Just replace the light that's in there with a standard bayonet light fitting. Or just use a desk lamp with a 6500K energy saver bulb over it. Maybe someone can confirm that this would be sufficient light for glosso.
  19. This is going to be a good one
  20. You mean the lighting that comes with that tank? If so, then no. You'll need to upgrade it to a 6500k CFL at least. HTH
