    Nope, he's been in this tank for a while, it's his territory. Any time they come to close he just flares and chases them. Puffers just hang out away from him :lol:

    Might be okay for the top layer but most plants need something a bit more dense underneath. 3mm or sand would be good.

    Mine are eating the A.H.T bloodworms, so long as they can get them. Having a PK as a tank mate, it's kind of hard to get food :lol: I just feed him some to one side of the tank and drop some back where the puffers are hanging. Took me about a day to get some food into them. HTH

    I'd recommend going to Adrienne's sometime and looking at her fighters. She has some lovely PK's (Plakats). They're less hassle than fancy fighters because of their shorter fins, but still have just as much colour as fancy fighters. Means they can go with fish that might normally nip long fins, I have my blue PK in a 54L with two dwarf puffers for example. I'd say you could only have an otto or two in that sized tank though. HTH

    +1. Biomedia never needs to be replaced, just rinsed when it gets too clogged.

    Riccia and Java Moss Riccia is often tied down actually but it can get really messy quickly.

    Java moss sort of sinks and can be tied down easily whereas riccia is a floating plant.

    You will find that the reptile and amphibian trade is very limited here in New Zealand. Although maybe one of the more specialized members could help you there.
