at the old dairy farm i worked on in Nelson, one of the guys i worked with (not me thank god!) forgot to seperatly milk the 2 cows we had that were on meds (not sure what they were on, one of the meds that require like 6 weeks to work its way out of their systems) so their tainted milk went straight into the vat with all the clean milk (500 cows or so, big vat). poor guy had to sit there for the next however many hours watching 2 milkings worth of milk go down the drain. owner not impressed. new job jitters are just a pain in the :evil: remember to eat! i used to get so nervous and jittery i wouldnt eat properly, which of course would make me sick and even MORE nervous and jittery.

unfortunatly i have no HM males for her, will have to keep an eye out. i do have two candidates, my large blue plakat male (always very gentle with the ladies) and my giant, but hes being taught some much needed manners by my big split tail girls in the community tank at the mo. not really keen on letting him have the HM until he gets his act together.

name her peaches, like the colour of the marks on their cheeks.

it would be better if you could have more than one female to a male, if anyones going to be beating up anyone else, it'll be the male chasing down the females. one female will get hounded to the point of exhaustion and could end up with terrible fin damage, he may even kill her. just depends on each fishes personality, one of my female split tails is at this moment hunting down the giant plakat male that is in "her" tank. in saying all that, having a well planted tank with lots of hide aways will give them space from each other, and it may work out absolutely fine. keep an eye out for fin damage and overly aggressive behaviour.

my bettas (female & males) will eat neon tetras and guppys (and even female guppys so its not the males pretty tales they're after). i have also had one or two eyeless tetras thanks to a big male plakat we have.

well we went and saw this tank yesterday, and i can honestly say it looks awesome! cant wait till the fishes grow up, will definitely have to come back up and have a look in a month or so

there have been a few nice lyre/split/ double tails down here lately. some have been quiet pretty and not too expensive.

We will try to remember to offer again next time we go up. Hopefully next time we don't get a flat tire and find out that the spare is flat too
