We have one of the small 8L tanks that has a single foam filter and a 25W heater. Ye did have a 50W Jebo in there for a wile but it was on a bit of an angle. our fighter seemed to like it

hello hello every1. I thought I would put this on here to find a fish minded flatmate We will have a room available here in Newlands, Wellington on the Sunday19th of April. $140 per week 3 bedrooms, three existing flatmates, myself and my partner and another male flatmate we never see Fully furnished flat with 1 or 2 fishtanks around the place (and a few in the shed) :lol: so after some1 who doesn't mind having fish stuff everywhere and us constantly coming home with new tanks and fish! and we also have a cat. You don't need to worry about how fast they grow. Once you get the 45L tank set up you will be out buying a bigger one within a week MTS affects us all and is unstoppable :lol:

How well planted is the tank?

If you do decide to use garden hose make sure that it is "drink safe". Not all hoses are treated to make them non-toxic and you might cause your fish some unneeded stress for a couple of dollars saved. I have just got some clear tubing from the fish shop and it was under $6 per meter. I am happy to pay a bit more to know that all my fish are happy and not being slowly poisoned.

Heollo and welcome You could always get female betas, We have 4 of them in your 125L tank and they all seem happy. If you get a good female you can get some stunning colours then just have a smaller 20L ish tank (or 2,3,4...) beside the big tank for a male.

my fighters have just done the egg thing my tank, which has a layer of sand, and everything has gone fine. any that were dropped to the bottom were picked up quickley, they are easy to see and my boy hasnt had a problem collecting them. so i dont see a problem with it. good luck

Can you breed a short tail with a VT or CT? We have a ST male and a VT female. Will the breed and what will come out VT or ST?

but i want more! pheonix got any males/females you are thinking of selling off? i think the pet stores are getting sick of me calling them lol. it amazes me that they put orders in for like 20 fighters at a time with their suppliers, and then get absolutly none delivered to them.

i finally got myself a female fighter today! went up to palmy Animates and found a beautiful young red female for my lonely blue male. only took me 5 weeks calling around every1 down here in wellington lol. yay!!! :lol:
