bik i do once a 1-2 a week its only for the babies some will be going to the pet store when i ring them if they want them man they are hard to catch the ones you want to keep keep donig the water changes i only use water for my fish sometimes some of that stuff i forget what its called and thats it i dont even own an ammonia test kitt yet !!!! but i must get one of those master test kitts i keep forgetting or something else comes up hahaha and like u i got my tank second hand good way to save money !!!!!!

thanks they ate most of it the pigs but its been set up ages i will give it a good clean tonight

hi i ran out of flake food so I crushed up some bottom feeder shrimp pellets and some other pellets i had it looked like i had feed them 2 much twice this week should i do a big water change and or just not feed them for a day ty

listen to adodge she knows all about fish I have 3 tanks one communtiy one with guppies, and one for the guppy fry be prepared to get another one if you have girls and boys they breed like wildfire your male is very nice looks like a red tuxedo one to me, i had one like that but he died waaa i have about 80 guppie babies at the moment and the poor things are only in a 22 litre tank so they will go to the pet store i keep the good ones lol guppies are lovely fish i had ammonia problems too just keep changin the water small tank is easy to change PS dont do what i do and get sucked in to feeding them all the time they will trick u and make out they are hungry :lol: :bounce:

i was told they were blonde guppies but i dont know im not good with all the colourings id love some blue ones i have too many redish and orange and tux ones hehe i nearly got rid of the lot because of they breed to much but suppose one good thing wont have to buy fish again ! i have about 60-80 fry in a 22 litre tank thats chocka lol :bounce:

wont they try and do it with the other fish or each other if there is no girls lol :bounce:

hi i dunno lol but one is like yellow or gold with snake skin body with spots in aline then a neon yellow tail that looks like it might be checkered, the other one is the same without the snake skin but has some over colours appearin in his tail, theres heaps of white babies two, one of my girls is so fat she looks like shes gonna burst, they are gettin on a bit one died recently

im really tryin to keep them till they are bigger after seeing some amazing ones i sold as babies get sold at the lps for 15 each guppie ! and im someone who just has the lot in one tank hehe

I have my community tank with cories, neons, platy and pair of swords can i just put male guppies in here or do they need to be with girls i have all my guppies seperate in another tank just with cories i have bred some amazing blonde males with neon yellow tails i think they are blonde either that or snake skin i cant wiat till they get bigger to see what they look like cheers

i think i have about 12 left now i had some on my guppy tank omg they are the worst fish to catch lol thank god they are 5 for ten bucks at the bird barn i get nevous about paying 7 dollars each for a cardinal do they die just as easily? Its said when the fish goes ick, and then its lights start going out and boom its dead or you have to put it down. should i just leave the sick ones till they cant eat?

sandy if there were born like that i wouldnt worry plus they breed so much if u loose a few you wouldnt notice i have the most amazing blonde guppies with neon yellow tails they are just startin to colour up so be interesting to see what i get from that, i also have bred a few really nice tux ones too !!! well bred, they did it themselves haha

ryan thats interesting i got all mine from the same person. and they seem to be ok. i did loose a few but i dunno how old they were as they were fully grown when I got them, I have also heard of some ppl whos guppies just get wiped out 2 ! mine with the spine problems were born like that so i have got rid of the ones that are bent

Hi do neons die easily? I had one that just sort of wasted away, and now I had one that i had to dispose of nicely, that had lilke fungus or something growing out of his bottom it looked like his insides were coming out it was horrid poor fish the rest are ok, oh one had a lump on its lip :lol: but it still eats and stuff they are about a yh old now

whats the nicest way to cull the bend ones. I had one and he was born like that and some babies were coming out bent so i gave him to the turtle to eat i still feel really bad

if your gonna get gupppies remember they breed profusely i have like 100 babies at the moment !!!!

it was the thermostat last time they were meant to put a brand new one in there, the guy said that took it out today it wasnt new and it was broken so its their fault if they are paid for a brand new item tehy should supply it anyway i really dont think its gonna make much difference i have always used 300-400 units

I cant believe it, the electrician was here fixing the stove and I got him to check the hot water a year or two ago i had a new thermostat put it, anyhow, he checked it and said it was broken, i said but I had a new one put it he goes it wasnt new, i thought the Asian plumer looked a bit dodgey lol so no we see what i use in the new few weeks i bet its a bit lower hehe

great dont be flooled by them when they look hungry you should only need a good pinch or less for that many fish, i had fish since i was 15, and wondered as a kid why they always died it was from washin the filters out in the tap i dunno if thats what ppl did then, LOL but i dont know omg i have like more baby guppies

i usally just give them away or swap for other fish ! i nearly died thou when i went into the pet store i took the last lot too a few months later and saw some of mine for 15 bucks each ! lol hows the tank going? u must remember do not over feed lol im guilty of that and get sucked in coz they look so hungry
