zev thanks so much i will get some noodles for the 90 ltr one just keep forgetting. i change the wool about every 2 weeks its gets so dirty nearly black as these filters just as good as interenal ones i took my fluval one out

hi ty for your reply one is 90 litre i just have the filter wool in that one and the black stuff like sponge no media or the bits you buy and the other 22 litre one has the noodles and just filter wool is this ok ta

oh thats great i got a fire place but what wood costs and i never sit in the lounge if it was one of those kent ones id light it thou lol

good idea i usually heat my room anyway we moving soon so im thinkin of having a craft hobby room with the fish in there might get rid of the lot and get one big tank i think that will be easier thanks for all your help its been great :bounce:

adodge was it my fault? my platy got that ages ago 2 im gonna get a real grunty filter for that tank when i can afford it I just cleaned out the trutle i put some plants in there hen and chicken coz im over run with those wonder if he eats them lol

hi wow 600 bucks my 500 units wasnt that bad then lol all my tanks apart from the turlte have those plastic hoods with lights one thing i will say the older type fish tanks are a lot easier to clean and a lot cheaper to buy ha i got all mine second hand i paid 50 for the 22 litre, 300 for the 90 litre and stand 6 months old and the 60 litre half circle and stand was cheap for 70, not lookin forward to replacing the light tubes when they go ! lol :bounce:

id have heart failure if mine was that high lol mind u the power has gone up this year. Turn everything off at the wall or buy those multiboxes with switches that saves over 100 a year

omg i wont moan mine the highest was 129 can i keep angles with a tank with plays and neons and swords and pleco its a half circle about 60-70 litre could i get a few small ones?? what ya reckon hehe

thanks what did my babies u took came out like and i didnt want to tell you but my fighter died I was so upset i cried i did everything you said he got fat then just boom went down to the bottom and that was it. I burried him, i took the water st8 to the pet shop and it was perfect so I dunno what was wrong with him, I got a tux guppie thats half back or that colour u know what i mean and he has a checkered tail black and white, I was horried when i went back to the pet store where i took the others 2 and seen some the same im sure they were mine lol they were 15 bucks each 2 !!!!!! have your guppies had babies? i miss my figther oh i got one play baby im hoping its a white one !!!!!

Hi I have 2 tanks with the filters on the top, one had the media in it but I dont buy the cartridges I just put filter wool in there, the other one has no meida and just the wool Do i have to have the media and the cartridges that come with it as they are expensive. Can i just use wool? ta a few of my guppies carked it but i had them over a yh and they were adults when I got them PS adodge I have some really nice tux guppies and some blonde ones with neon yellow tails

hi I have a small tank like that with my guppies in there adodge has seen it. I clean it weekly coz of the small fish, just make sure you dont over crowd it with gold fish u could only really have 3 small ones in there, also wash filter sponge out in the bucket, mine has the drip filter on the top so I just change the wool when its dirty. you could alway try guppies if the gold fish die as they are easy to keep and they breed so you wont have to buy anymore I have abotu 50 babies lol

hi !!!!! how is everyone my power has shot up the last month from about 400 units to 500. I have a 3 foot turtle tank with light filter and 300 watt heater a 22 litre baby tank with heater filter and light and a 90 litre aqua one with filter and light and 150 watt heater and a 60ish litre jebo ufo tank with 100 watt heater and 2 filters and light my power has gone up a bit i been turning everything else off how much would all these tanks use i had a new theromstat in my hot water cylinder last yr does the power go up for them in the winter because of the heaters going on and off how much do u use cheers :bounce:

adodge thanks if i have too change the water that much I dont think i will bother getting any I have some lovely tux guppies that i bred they are amazing maybe I will just concerate on them lssmith that was my communtiy tank and i had it for about a yr now, I do my weekly maintence and its been ok i dont over feed and thanks to the others that posted looks like if I want discus i will have to get a bigger tank when i move :bounce:

Hi i have a 90 ltr tank with about 20 guppies and 4 cories in it If i got my guppy numbers down a bit could I get 3 small discus? Or do i need to get a bigger tank for the discus? do they like guppies? I have a communty tank but thats a bit smaller id say about 65 litres Thanks everyone

Im just new at the guppy thing didnt realised some were nipped hahahaha they were like that when I got them but im gettin such good babies I have bred some amazing tux guppies with checked tails ! I have about 40 babies at the moment a friend is goin to take some the rest will be sold or swapped for fish stuff hehe

hi i didnt use any cycle stuff or anything like that just added a few fish in 3 weeks then more as time went by had a few ammonia probs lost 3 fish coz of over feeding had no problems with my other tank so I suspect need a new filter soon Also i changed the water every second day that helped

what a nice fern I have a ton of these growing they do better in one tank than the other i think its the light tubes in the new tank are better I have some stuff in my substrate floraite or something that helps but god mine are as big as that but not as busy did u put a whole lot together

hi spoon I think they were nipped when I got them I lost my red tux and snake skin but I had them since last yr and they were fully grown so id say their days were numberd LOL I got a few nice ones i have bred I saw some i took into the pet shop dunno if they were mine coz they were babies when I took them in but they were identical to what i had !

Ps all my stuff is second hand lol

omg i thought they had been nipped hahahahaha Alanco see big fern in square tank i think its indian fern?? What happened was in my old tank the light blew so I used a old one i had but the tube is kinda funny yellow when its on anyway the plants went nuts and they went nuts when I put them in the new tank I have stuff in the gravel flourite was in there when i brought it second hand off trademe I really need to add half a bucket Nice new tank aye Im not getting anything bigger than that till i move maybe And the half round one was only 70 bucks !!!! plants dont grow that quick in there though !!!!!! That inndian fern is out of control i cant give anyway coz i found a few snails
