  8. Hey All Just a small mention that we are having our next meeting next week Date: 13 March 2007 Time: 7.30pm Where: Green Bay Community House Godley Rd, (Behind New World Supermarket) First meeting for Newbies is free. We will discuss fish (Really!!... not joking ) have a raffle of some sort. Serve you tea / coffee / juice at the end of the meeting. Subs are also due for existing / New members. $25.00 for the year If you want your membership card to be laminated then the March meeting is the only time we will have them laminated. So come along if you haven't been, and meet other like minded people.
  9. my preference is to use sponge instead of filter wool as the filter wool gets clogged quite quickly. When it starts to get clogged it becomes even more dense so not much water will flow through it. I have used filter wool in my HOB filters and they clog quite quickly... faster than sponges Thats my experience.
  10. The main thing with all external canister filters is to find out which direction is through the baskets. first thing that the water flow should hit first is the 1. Ceramic noodles 2. Smaller filter media 3. Sponge / Filter wool last. This way you will get the larger stuff being filtered out first and then gradually down to the smaller stuff. Hope that helps

  14. Hi Guarantee would mean that if the tank leaks or fails he will repair / replace it. what about your other possesions that the water goes over? One Year would be fine. Just let your insurance company know you have a new BIG tank. I have registered all my 13 tanks with my insurance company and no increase in premiums. Now just where to place another tank ontop of my OLD TV
