  1. I just use plain tap water to was all my filters and pipes. Fish don't seem to have an issue with it.
  2. I use one of those flexi pipe cleaners. Works a treat. It is amazing how much gunk is in those pipes. I usually just turn off the filter, and clean the pipes, then turn on the filter to do a flush. Simple and I keep the good bacteria in my filter
  3. I have found that the Aqua Clear HOB filters are quiet. You just need to maintain the level high, or else you will get a lot of water noise. Don't need much cleaning either. I use these on a number of my smaller tanks.

  15. Start complaining that you are having sore eyes for a week or two, then on the third week say that your new dog is a seeing Eye dog  Employer must then let the dog accompany you at work. SIMPLE
  16. I've never bothered with a UV sterilizer. If I am concerned with bugs then I use a quarantine tank before I put any new fish in my tank. With regards to Green Water, I add more plants.(I use Water Sprite and/or Indian Fern) I will upload a photo of a tank that I have on the window sill tonight. The problem I see with UV Sterilizers is that it kills ALL bacteria, good and bad :-?
