If you're referring to my sword plant (not too flash on latin names) I think I'll need a bigger tank for it at the rate it's sprouting leaves..can anyone tell me how to prune it? (Or prevent it from growing wider) It's getting too long and some leaves are getting brunt by the heater during waterchanges. I don't want the tank darker..my Discus might go darker in colour - I like the lighter gravel because it pushes the main focal point onto the fish making them stand out even more besides taking out the gravel would just be a nightmare I'd imagine

no diff between having a undergravel filter vs. not for me..siphon heaps if you feed heaps I do daily siphoning

I'm going to have to visit this year I think..... just two now: 450L Discus tank (fully planted + 5 Discus) 280L Angel tank (getting there with aquascaping lol + 8 Angels)

I like the Budha thing! it makes the tank look more tranquill - besides everyone's got driftwood at least this one is original

why are you jealous? I have 3 males : 1 female in my tank thought I had 2 females until one started growing a moustache.... I love how those platies standout by the way!

I heard wild Discus are meant to be tougher than line bred relatives? because they are not as inbred? I'd love some heckles worth spending $$ on setting up just a tank for them..they retail around $500 AUS each (authentic wild Discus - not Discus from wild caught parents) But downside is that you'd hope they're well wormed

been linebred over a few hundreds years now in those Asian countries...remember my dad used to be obssessed with finding goldfish like these and offering to buy the breeding stock off some breeders here just for our tank :roll: and even then they weren't as well bred as these

these are well bred goldfish Dixon - the goldfish you see at petshops are all nymphs..and horrible crosses.....

the last one looks adorable but I wonder how difficult it would be for it to swim..how big are these fish? they look huge!
