if the fish have columanaris, you'll need to treat it with furan. Remove any carbon from the filters too.

You mean like bobbing and twitching? That's what they do. I had a cardinal that ate a small stone and started sinking. Then he would flap his little fins and scurry to the top; get tired, and sink again. :lol: He died cause of the stone and finally became food for the other fish.

Don't get defensive just because you're selling him the tank. A 30cm wide and high tank is very awkward to plant. That is my opinion, and I will not change it. Also - that tank is higher than 1ft.

Any tank that is only 1ft wide and high makes having a planted tank very awkward. Something wider and higher is best.

Ottos are awesome, that's for sure. I would have heaps but I don't use lids on my tanks and well... ottos tend to jump sometimes (or everytime in my case).

That is terrible Nat. So sorry to hear. I do hope you manage to get them back some how. Call the police. If the enclosure was glass, you might be lucky to have forensics pick up a print or two. For everyone else I hope this in some way reinforces what some of us have been saying for a long time.
