  1. Thanks guys.. I still miss my plants though  Looks like i will have to step up and do a lot of water changes with the lack of plants.
  2. Tank looks much clearer today Plecos even came out and said hello! :bounce:
  3. you would hope that your prescription would not change.

    PICs

lol.. awesome.. this is indeed what we want here. :bounce:
  6. most pet shops that sell them should have a number for a guy that can install them. (usually a local builder/carpenter/glazier). Other wise those glass repairers that do house calls also can cut that glass. HTH.
  7. some more pictus's! you can also get choc talking cats - but don't expect to see them much. clown loaches would be nice too.
  8. mm hmm.. they ruined one of the courts last year. did $20,000.00 of damages in 1 nite - flooded kitchens, broke flatscreen tv's... carpets ruined. all quite sad.
  9. yeah. or partition your HDD with windows on one partition and everything else on the other.
  10. It was Palmerston North.. im surprised people didn't turn up in stubbies and gum boots
  11. I was wondering about fish getting stuck in the rocks. I know if i were a fish, I'd get stuck in one, or have one fall on my head- knowing my luck! If they breed i shall be happy - but i cant get more tanks, so everything shall have to be happy.
  12. That's cause us capitalistic, money minded, "live & dream money" business dudes rock.
  13. fantastic. :bounce: Thank you oh wise one I have a fluval 2+ internal filter that can be used as a power head by taking off the body off the filter, and its perfectly sized too. Alternatively, I can move the fluval 405's flow pipe thing lower. Currently it is creating flow at the back wall over the rocks.
  14. not really. many small water changes are good too. most people just cant be bothered.
  15. Weeeeeeee and this is how i have hidden the base of the tank so all the poo should be easy to remove. Will it work?
  16. they will be fine, and remember when in doubt - do a water change. you can do one everyday if you like. :bounce:
  17. I'll take a pic of how I have designed the position of the main rocks.
  18. Thanks! :bounce: yep. sort of. the rear column is devoid of rocks, although it may not look like that. then there is the intake for one of the 405's which should suck up all that extra poo. (well that's the plan) lol.. i havent had much to do with rock tanks. i still look at it and wonder where all the plants are Then that large rock that sits at the back, is movable but is secure at the base, so i can shift it forward and siphon off there. I hope this works. I am very apprehensive about it all. How often do people do WC's on african tanks? Is once a week enough?
  19. don't steal the show woman!
  20. I wouldn't have thought that you could just buy formalin. its pretty nasty stuff, and many people I have seen are far too casual with it, eg not washing hands etc... its a nasty carcinogen.
  21. and avast talks to you! it told me that virus definitions were upto date today! nearly died when I heard that, lol.. speakers were turned up.
  22. is it a high range indicator or the normal one? if its the normal one, ask your lfs to do a high range test on it.
  23. Avast. and it works on 64bit XP too :bounce: and uses very few resources.
