  1. cable that connects the mp3 player to the comp. what sort of mp3 player is it? what is the name of the connection?
  2. I should be able to make it too. =) ill txt you after this.
  3. Angels and demons, X men - wolverine, and Star trek :bounce:
  4. ive found they are pretty ok with salt. (ive had bgk's and the browns who were fine with it). if you had to, i would remove and isolate the fish. put him in a shallow container, take a syringe with saline soln in it, and put some on the external "what ever they are" drop by drop. again, and i can't stress this enough - this method is what is used on larger animals. so ill wait for those pics. otherwise you can use normal parasite medication that is used for fish. PM Ron, "discusguru" and ask him what he uses for parasites.
  5. you have to be very careful if you use a copper derivative like CuSO4 etc. can you post a pic of these things please? its hard to provide possible solutions without knowing for sure what you are dealing with. have you tried salt?
  6. how about sunday the 31st? its the day before the queens birthday. and where? If no venues are available, i can make my living room nice and warm. plus there will be a tank full of fish to look at.
  7. oh! how could I forget rats! female rats don't have well "hanging" bits, but are more prone to cancer. males are larger (awesome) but can smell sometimes if you don't keep em clean. They look great in a tall parrot cage with toys in it, and they are very very interactive. I can post a pic of some babies i used to take care of if you like.
  8. I like the red one best :bounce:
  9. damn. that's a good looking red shoulder. what awesome colours.
  10. that's because its designed for water to flow over that area gently, so as to not disturb and shuffle around what is in the cup. shove the ceramic media in that cup. chopped sponge, scotch brite pads etc can go in the other places.
  11. I see. what about a bird then? - if your cats are OK with that. Parrot species if you have a very strict, takes-no-rubbish type of personality like me. if not, you shall be the parrots pet  (be prepared to shed out several hundred (or in my case several thousand) for thing like toys, massive cage, toys, vitamins, wormer, cleaners, toys, and more toys, ear plugs... that sort of stuff). or maybe a blue tongue lizard? bearded dragon, newts? (newt setups can be very beautiful if you are artistic).
  12. tomorrow? really? when? where? details!!!!!!!!!!!!! (what do i need to bring?)
  13. how long are you able to be committed to the new pet?
  14. if you have a few extra lying around, sure thing... but its nothing I would go out of the way to buy for a small internal filter.
  15. i unfortunately will be stuck in palmy-hole with a pile of assignments have fun at your open day. :bounce: the bird and I shall visit some other time.
  16. yeah. that's expected. you dont need that sponge. filter wool will also work but be careful you dont put it near the impellor, as it could get it stuck. scotch brite green pads are also good, and filter wool or something similar can be brought from one of those spotlight stores.
  17. they normally just have a sponge in them.
  18. apparently to get lots of wealth and happiness, you have to rub the Buddhas tummy everyday. it makes him laugh cause of the tickling, and then that causes the tickler to be showered with happiness and wealth. Try dong that to Mark and see if it has the same effect.
  19. yeah, cannisters are definitely the way to go. and that way you aren't limited to the extent you are with internals when you do upsize. are you likely to get a larger tank in the near future? If so get a cannister, and then you can run it on there; and have the flexibility of knowing that your 60L tank can be used as a fry/fish growout tank.
  20. nice one I presume an 8footer for the plecos is on the cards too? :bounce:
  21. how did he get there? *imagines a wooden deck with little slits in it.
