  1. And now we observe said inquisitive, nosey fish eat.
  2. Step 4: Take a tweezer or similar and tie some fishing line to it. Step 5: Skewer said vege food like so: Step 6: Submerse the vegetable like so:
  3. Not sure if this should be in the catfish section or here. I suppose here it reaches a wider audience. Now sit down lads and lasses while I take you through a fascinating tale of how you can feed your bottom feeders like cories, loaches, and best of all those plecos we all love so much. Step 1: You have to get a fresh courgette (you do not have to extravagantly display it for the camera) Step 2: Take a sharp knife to said courgette and make a lateral incision slicing said vegetable in half  Step 3: Take an assortment of bottom feeder pellets and poke them into the courgette. I have used Hikari bottom feeder pleco tabs, tetra min bottom feeder tabs, and nutrafin pleco logs (new food). Don't forget to put some food in the skin, as some fish eat the green bit too.
  4. There is an aqua fun day (once a year), and then a pet fun day. not sure how many times they have a pet fun day - but i think its twice. I think
  5. my fish throw a hissy fit every time i do a water change.
  6. bigger the better! we have a huge pool at home - it has had the odd fish in it.

  9. me offended? no way. im like a rhino. such things bounce off me.
  10. why? its not interfering with rusty in any way. he is not in the house, and we are careful to shut the doors. he is a cute cat - there will be no shooting!
  11. you dont do wc's dixon!
  12. yes they will command high prices even if they are bred well over here. as said before the fish have to be older and conditioned will to breed. - and if capitalist hounds like me have any thing to say about it - the prices will stay up and that should hopefully encourage responsible breeding. then again on the other hand it could very well encourage irresponsible breeding. who knows any more
  13. oh. well there goes that idea too then. is it edible?
  14. get some clowns! well.. maybe not such a great suggestion - youll have to get rid of the rest if they get stung.
  15. might be cheaper to buy one metal halide than to buy a t5HO lighthood and tubes to go with that. the 2ft HO may set you back about 250or so all up. please buy the high output ones if at all  1 MH will be cheaper but you will have to modify the hood to deal with all that heat, but all of it will be cheaper as you can get them off ppl off here. basically -t5's are more expensive but easier, and MH's are cheaper but more hassle to set up with some DIY and fans etc. (unless you suspend the MH over the tank and have the tank with no hood or lids).
  16.  LOLage you never know. so what have you got against majano again?
  17. :bounce: oh yay. L 270 - now I need to get me some of those. you should also post up a pic (or 10) of them in their tank / habitiat pretty please  do they eat courgette as well as the others?
  18. or you can use the 2ft T5 HO hood. I think GLO(or hagen) make them. They are shorter than you need but have extendy bits on the ends that can be suspended over larger tanks. its pretty neat. have a look at one if you can to see what i mean.
  19. lolage. did you buy it?
  20. I am just a plain old happy fish
  21. very nice! :bounce: but now you need to find the L number.
