water change.
then put the air pump on if you have one.
put the stone in a corner of the tank. that will create water flow.
is there enough water agitation at the surface?
Do any of you have small, dull lights in your tanks? could be any sort of light as long as its dim... and you put it on after the main lights are out. (even if its the real moon shining off a mirror LOL).
some have them to see nocturnal fish.
any pics to share?
Im experimenting with a couple of options at the moment.

sorry. I dont know much about livebearer genetics.
if you were to cross a platy then you would get (and im assuming you can, though can you???)
the resulting offspring would be (albino swordtail X albino green sword tail) X blue platy

hi.
That stand is not the right one for that tank. It should be the same colour.
That stand is for the plastic black juwel, not the wood grain one.
Juwels are pretty good. have a look in the beginners section for the juwel vs. aquaone thread and have a read through that as well.
HTH
isn't it just magnificent?
This time dehydrate some of the seeds, and plant them at a later date. That should work as well. You should get near 100% of the seeds sprouting that way.
*ps- your flower is distracting me from my very important assignments! **runs away to do said assignment.
yeh. i use that in conjunction with flora pride and PMDD.
PMDD is a home made plant fertiliser. google it as well. Hans on here may be able to help you if you need to buy some.
(PS- don't goldfish eat all plants?)
some location better than no location.
i mean not just cichlids should have some. I don't know much about redwoods any more, but lots of importers will be bringing them in.
NPK fertiliser, daltons, JBL, flourish, co2, charcoal, laterite, KNO3 (i think), and then all the normal plant ferts i can get.
crypts are still alive in cold water, with no lights and so are the lotus seeds and a few others. must be working ahhaha
ok. this is new.
the cannister filters i have dealt with have to be below the tank. infact some of them have to be a certain distance below the tank. reason being that there is an optimal level for the height between the tank and the filter - any higher and the gravitational force on the water will make the speed slower (downflow) and; any lower, and the pump cant push all that water back up too well, and it slows down any how.
the manuals even mention distances/ cant be bothered reading it now, but if i find the thing tomorrow ill update this.
the actual flow rates are only achieved when the distance between the tank and filter is optimal. That's why the stock tubing comes in such a weird size, its not really to make people buy more of it or find substitutes.
ive tried different levels on eheims and the difference was immediately apparent.
Tiger lotus's?
my leaf stalks got to about 70-80 cm long and the leaves were about 10 cm in diameter.
as they mature the leaves go plain green, and the newer/younger ones have red speckles.
LOL. you will need an experimentation tank like mine then!
no heating, no lights except what falls on it from the main tank above, and lots of evening sun and normal daylight.
