if they have a pointy nose, and i for some reason seem to recall that they do cause ive seen the ones you guys have - then they are long nose farowellas. some places also sell them as pinocchio whiptails - but then they charge more for them :lol: don't you just love capitalism?

welcome! im pretty sure its a bit of driftwood leaching tannins into the water. some like that look, and few like me don't :lol:

have you checked to see if the impellor is sitting properly? is the ceramic shaft ok?

Ive done the Co2 intake with a 2215 and it was perfectly fine. having said that, if the CO2 is causing the problems, you are putting far too much CO2 into your tank. try reducing the amount of yeast you use in the mixture if the problem is indeed too much gas in the cannister.

sorry, no I mean- a 300W - x brand for eg will only do a max of say 400L so an eheim 300W will be on for longer to heat the same amount of water?

when your little dude gets bigger - and he will get bigger you may have a problem on your hands. just something to be weary off. if you want non hybrids for sure, then best to get them off breeders directly. there are lots on here.

oh. it works on a 1000L tank fine. I set them up many many times. I always recommend another as a back up, but 1 works fine. must have good water flow though
