To be fair, the fish could have jumped. Then the cat could have eaten it. If you went home, you would have found a dead carpet fish. either ways, but this way the cat got a meal and the fish hopefully died faster.

Lodge a police complaint. Your no-claims bonus may not be affected if the accident was not your fault. They often have cameras and the cops will review them if you lodge a police complaint. im glad no one on your end was hurt.

naah. 1pair is in the display, and the other will be in a 2ft. The pair in the display tank don't really do much for each other. The other fish spawn but they dont seem to care. I thought the female was a little small. nice colour, but maybe needs a little growing up.

what great news! It should be $250 or under to repair perfectly. They will replace an entire section and take it to the door.

You can try Japanese / Acorus rush. It does well with cold water and goldfish as its a relatively strong, hard leaved plant.

yeah, she is going to have a look. I have a walk in wardrobe, so worst case scenario ill ask if i can get a piece of carpet from there, and replace the piece in the wardrobe with a good match.

water dripped down the rear wall off the tank from where the background was and soaked the stand and carpet. I don't know how long it was like that for, but I only noticed when i saw the stand splitting from the sides. I ran a dehumidifier and its totally dry now. The bottom was completely enclosed. Worst design ever. Nice looking stand, terrible design, wrong material. like making baby toys out of gunpowder and glass.

Yeah I told her. she came over to see it today. she has home-owners insurance, but then the insurance company will recover the costs from me. Ill call my insurance company tomorrow, but if the cost of repair is lower than the excess ill jsut get it fixed. At the moment im just hoping it can get fixed.

I just moved the tank into the kitchen. yeah smidey. carpet is rotten and has black mould and holes in it in places. it definitely needs to be cut out and replaced.

I just want it fixed eh... at the moment i dont care what it costs. I just dont want the entire carpet replaced as its more hassle than its worth. Im insured and all.

Is any one on here a carpet repairer? or knows about carpet repairs, mainly with matching colours and cutting and posting new layers of carpets in?
