  1. I have some free swimming babies now. not sure how many but I put some discus wrigglers in that tank too so that the baby fish would gather together and it worked well.
  2. will the ornate eat them?
  3. broms2 that video is beautiful! Thanks for posting it! That tank is screaming for a royal pleco of some sort to be in it. try s. microfolia dennis? will grow well under your lights.
  4. If you have that much light, you need to have more CO2 and I don't think DIY CO2 would cut it. Well it could if you had many of them running together. Good on you for having an end goal in mind and you know you have to save to get there too which is great. It will take you a little less time to save for the tank if you earn interest on your money.
  5. and what are you willing to spend on all of this?
  6. you're intending on using a 150W halide AND those hagen tubes?
  7. wow. that is tiny. who sells them that small?
  8. you should put pots in your tank

  13. At least 2inches. depends on the plants you grow, but sand like daltons propagating sand is cheap, looks great and is perfect. Darker substrates bring out the colours of the fish better and looks more natural in a planted tank. Although in a true planted tank there should be plants on the gravel so you don't see it
  14. No. The stores should sell it for cost
  15. that is cheap
  16. Yeah my 70W 6500K DE only costed me like $30 delivered.
