  17. Just call up each store, and get quotes.
  18. Unfortunately, we never expect the worse, and spend loads of time and money to fix the unexpected surprises. In this hobby in particular sometimes poop happens. Unfortunately, when poop does happen it happens to the most expensive / rare / precious fish. I too use prime for that reason. removes ammonia and dechlorinates. I've said this once before, and im forgetting where i sourced my info from but a by product of the removal of chlorine using carbon is ammonia. Having said that, ammonia is less toxic at lower pH levels. but since you have baby discus I can only presume you are using more alkaline water and not acidic.
  19. I have 3 discus. 2 of them form a pair, and the males occasionally stand off. nothing I would be worried about. Unfortunately with this fish, the cheapest way is not an option. Your best bet would be to get a group and then thin out numbers based on individual personalities, and 120L generally confines you to having only 1 or 2 as they mature. Apart from that, they like good quality water and are much much hardier than most are willing to give them credit for. If you are newish to keeping fish, get larger fish and not small ones.
  20. Cardinals are fine in higher temps and neons are not. I have a shoal of 30+ and growing in my tank with Discus.
  21. Nice! I like the Boesmanis rainbows the best.
  22. that really sucks man! pH 3.5 from the tap is near implausible though. more likely to be caused by the wrong indicator solution or using too much indicator.
