  1. Very nice pics! I like how you have captured the odontodes.
  2. oO! i must hunt this pic im thinking of. it has to do with the fry and filters.
  3. yea. i ran outside. took 3 pics. standard gibbous moon.
  4. get your money back . I used this filter with all my baby fish so far. haven't lost one. you can turn the flow down. for new born fish use a sponge filter, and then when the get to 1cm in length they are fine with one of these. i usually lie them flat to the ground with the jet pointing to the surface of the water with lots of floating plants.
  5. ive used these filters with fry and never had a problem  you filter was broked LOL

    Hey Hey!!

    Hey hey hey! Welcome!
  7. no no i had other buckets. but they were also being used at the time.
  8. I am very very unsatisfied with the glosso. I hope it survives. it is spindly, weak and had just been hacked off with no roots at all.
  9. You would do a BSc majoring in zoology, but can then do your masters in Herpetology or any thing else that you like.
  10. its an application. just ignore / block it.
  11. It wasn't in my case. I was very confused too. All the other fish were happy as. However my temp was 30C, so i reduced it to 26 and then added more whiptails, then slowly increased the temp to 29 over the next week. I now still add whiptails to the tank, and the temp is now 29C and have no issues with them jumping.
  12. They do occasionally jump out. i once lost between 4 and 6 red whiptails in 48 hours - they all jumped out. The batch after that did not jump.
  13. yeah. prob too small for 1 discus too. definitely not for a fully grown one.
  14. In that case you probably don't want 2 severums in there. You could get 1 discus, but get rid of the barbs.
  15. Neons are not fine in the higher temps. At 29-30 degrees you will be buying them every couple of months. How big is the tank?
  16. You could also rig a standard heater with a rheostat so you can achieve the higher temp. Or use a metal coil like in the kettles only scaled down. You could use a DC converter rigged to a rheostat.
  17. what do they do when the female is laying? does she sorta turn round in circles around the nest?
  18. hahahahha 8) marketing 101  but in all seriousness, it just happened to be there..
  19. That is the female flag your plan sounds nice too
  20. just friends hahahaha. that is if friends exist in the fish world.
  21. youth rate no longer applies.
