good stuff david. At this stage I wouldn't be too concerned about differences in colour. Just grow them up and see what happens. everyone's fish are from the same lot. -
read the breeding sections, and in this section too. Lots of people have them and are breeding them. They are pretty cheap too so it won't be long before you can buy locally bred ones.

im not sure what you mean by terrace bits, but i don't think any juwel branded backgrounds / accessories are to be siliconed in.

That light is about $985 before shipping is even considered. Joe - Look at lights you CAN get locally.

high light will burn java moss. apart from that mosses are really quite resilient and grow differently in a vast range of conditions.

FANATICAL member? what? :lol: I like the layout of card 2. but without the goldfish. a zebra pleco would be nice, or why not use one of our POTM entries on the card instead? and change fanatical to financial.

Treehuggers! :lol: There is no new species created. It can't affect their natural behaviour, especially in tanks that are about as far from natural habitat as can be. These fish have never seen natural habitat and never will.

I have found the best way to do that is by attaching thread to their eyelashes and playing- lets chase the remote control car kiddos. congratulations. :lol:

hmm. i now see what you mean about the LEDs. Will look into them for a future african tank. distant future.

i just use the normal suction cup ones. The stick on ones are useless in that they provide a best reading based on the temperature of the glass of the tank, and the external temp.

I am so happy! I ahve about 10-12 free swimming and eating fry that swim and bob around (hop) around the place with the mother. then she picks them up and puts them in a pot when she wants to. they are sooo cute!

I treat them just like any other fish. Then again, I don't tend to have sick / ill plecos. I just leave them to it. If i do have to treat someone else's plecos - which i do quite often for some reason, i just treat them normal and they come alright. follow the instructions on the box.

I would say so! :lol: It can't legally be "propagated, commercially advertised or displayed and cannot be sold". It would be hard to have it in the tank and not grow it, but that's a bit hazy. ill have to find out if posession is illegal, but i know upfliting it from an established area is illegal. So that would make the plant in general illegal cause it had to come from somewhere to start off from and most likely came from a pond somewhere.
