  1. What exactly are you implying by that ? lol I'm in my early 20's... And I'm sure a lot of other people in the same age group wouldn't write like that. I think you mean that's written by someone who doesn't know anything about fish care!!

    ... What the?

Would Furan-2 kill the good bacteria in the tank too??

    ... What the?

Hmmm started on Java Moss first.. so removed that... now it's growing on almost everything... slowly...

    ... What the?

Ummm... Does anyone know what this weird slimey stuff taking over the tank is... and how to get rid of it?? The lights are on for currently 9 hours.. Used to be running a C02 system, but not at present. Gets flourish excell... been over dosing... hohum... Thanks! :bounce:
  5. :bounce: I've kept shrimp, WCMM and Goldfish at room temperature for like a year before I moved the shrimp outside. Using Florish Excell with shrimps is ohk IMO. As long as you're not over-dosing for algae etc because you might have issues then. Yussss
  6. How are the first lot going? Growing well??
  7. Ohhhh I'm so jealous We still need to build our pond... after I moved a few months back my goldfish are still currently living in a huge water trough. Must get on to that pond!
  8. Hmmm mine are smaller than standard breed Araucana. I have lavender, black laced and white with lavender laced...
  9. Ohhhh hmmm sorry smallest breed I have are Araucana.
  10. Ummm what breed was that! lol Rhode Island?? They're notoriously agro like that - though the boy I sold about a month ago (bought by someone who I swear ate him) was nice as pie and was half Rhode Island.
  11. Are you suuuureee you don't need more?! I'm sure I have some breeds you don't have down there! 8) Yeah I know she would sit on them after hatching - up to 48 hours. I leave my chicks in the incubator for up to 48 hours... But yeah I might try that box idea.. and see how we go.
  12. No idea to be honest with you... She isn't one I hatched myself, I bought her fully grown, she's not old, but not too young either.
  13. Hmmm might give that a go but chances are she'll make them jump while I'm at work or something! Want any Roosters Mark?? lol
  14. Haha I meant a mission to get down safely Breed wise shes just a backyard hen - no particular breed though judging by the way she's built and her feathering she'd have Wyandotte in her  typical The box idea is a goodie, thanks for that I'll see what I can do - three weeks to come up something!
  15. Hey! Ohk, so one of my hens has gone broody (clucky) and I've ordered her some eggs to sit on, will arrive in the next few days so she is currently incubating golf balls. lol Anyway she has chosen a high nest - over 1 metre off the ground! So when the chicks hatch it's going to be quite a mission to get down.... I waited until it was dark tonight to try and move her and her golf balls to a lower nest box... and well, she's a persistent little mother! In complete darkness she managed to climb her way back up to the high nest, so I moved the golf balls back... I don't know what to do! I know a few of you guys are chicken keepers so I was hoping someone would be able to suggest something! Thanks! :bounce:
  16. FUN! I just joined tooooooo :bounce:
  17. My flatmate used to breed them. He bought his initial stock for $16 each. Personally I think they aren't worth it. They're tiny, you barely see their patterns and the cark it easily. They are cute though, and do seem to have neat personalities.
  18. Haha Fuzznuts! awesome. Drugstore Beetles
  19. AWESOME. Thanks for posting!!!
  20. Cake in a Cup. Ingredients: 4 Tablespoons self-raising flour 4 Tablespoons sugar 2 Tablespoons cocoa 1 Egg 3 Tablespoons milk 3 Tablespoons oil Instructions: Mix the flour, sugar, and cocoa in the largest microwave-safe coffee mug you have. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Microwave on high for 2-1/2 to 3 minutes, depending on the power of your microwave. Watch the cake rise out of the top of the cup as it cooks. If the cup is too small, this is when it will overflow and make a mess in your microwave, so you might want to put a paper towel under the cup before you start if the cup isn’t very big. When the cake is done, invert the cup onto a plate.
  21. That's really bad. Product flogging! Hate it! Hate pressure sales people. You handled that well. I would have been direct and got really stroppy haha. I never have a problem laying complaints. My friend is exactly the same. We're bad service's worst nightmares, between us we probably have written a dozen various formal complaint letters to companies. I wrote one last year to one of the WoF and Rego drive through places (you know what ones I'm talking about) because they damaged my custom-made $1300 front bumper on my old car!
  22. I'm sorry, WHAT!? Are they??? That's truely sad.
  23. OHHH! :bounce: Can we get some picks of what you've made for them to spawn in? My only suggestions would be, green water to start with for the fry as green water is full of goodies. (especially the stuff out of water troughs in paddocks etc) Also toss in some boiled egg yolk, but not too much. And keep the parents away from them but that should go without saying! After the goldfish have spawned they usually try and scoff all the eggs they can find. Hope that helps.
