  1. :bounce: Well I haven't been on over the weekend but anywho, The area manager for this particular franchise called me and was deeply sorry for the experience I had. They gave me $300 off! Which was a nice gesture and my lamp was replaced free of charge. He said that the guy that fitted the curtains was a contractor that they won't be using anymore. Which was half the point because it would suck if he was allowed to keep on doing that to customers of that company.
  2. Ohhh it's fine I don't mind. It's funny how good customer service experiences never seems to stick out in your memory quite like how bad experiences tend to.
  3. Yeah they are nice curtains! :bounce: sorry you have to click them, but I couldn't be bothered re-sizing them to allow me to upload directly. You can see some of the tanks in the pics too. http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll21 ... ics006.jpg http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll21 ... ics007.jpg http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll21 ... ics008.jpg http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll21 ... ics009.jpg http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll21 ... ics010.jpg http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll21 ... ics011.jpg http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll21 ... ics005.jpg
  4. Oh yeah, I had one of those but the wheels fell off.
  5. It's called Irony...... 8) Sorry, didn't mean to let you down...
  6. Well yeah - it totally ruined my day. He was such a horrible person. And he was like... 70! and I'm not over-exaggerating! You would think he'd have some idea on good customer service. I'm 22 and I know that is bad and at the very least I would introduce myself and apologise for breaking other people's stuff. The nerve of saying that it was my fault because I put the 21st key on the window ledge above a lamp... like.. are you serious???
  7. Tasmanian Freshwater Crayfish... I want one... 8)
  8. Oh cool! I will see how they remedy this first.
  9. So I was home today and a curtain company came to fit my new curtains throughout my new home. Though his attention to detail was immaculate and the job was perfect... but the service..... was unbelievable. I wrote a letter to the company, just to let them know how awesome their staff actually are. Here is the list of good deeds, that I included in the letter. Your fitter; - Arrived and failed to introduce himself and your company. - Was rude and abrupt throughout the day. - Used inappropriate language when he dropped things. - Unwrapped the railings and fittings outside and let the rubbish blow away. - Broke a Glass Lamp in one of the bedrooms. - Damaged (chipped) a wooden 21st key. - Did not inform me of these damages. - When confronted, did not apologise for damages until later. - Told me that the damages were somehow, my fault and did not take any responsibility. - Did not attempt to clean up the mess left behind from the drill or move any of the furniture back. Sorry, what? I paid over $7000 for that kind of service?
  10. It's quite difficult I think. Even if they pair off you aren't guaranteed a male and female as two females will pair of and spawn - of course their eggs will be infertile...
  11. No idea how you did it? You pressed the click button on your camera...? Haha but it's a cool snap... looks like he wants to be freeeeeeeed
  12. Well you can take it to the disputes tribunal if you want. If someone purchased tickets with a "No Refunds" policy, they obviously knew what you were getting in for. It's just like if you purchased something from a shop that said "No Returns" If they didn't specifically state no refunds unless cancellation due to bad weather etc legally you won't have a foot to stand on in regards to the Fair Trading Act because they haven't misled or misguided you. They were honest and upfront that they would not be able to refund the money, thus making it a fair trade.
  13. Unfortunately you have a very valid point that I missed reading earlier. I thought it read "They didn't state NO REFUNDS" So yes Barrie is right, if it said "No Refunds" then your friends accepted those terms before they purchased the tickets. Different story if it was no refunds due to reasons outside their control - like, say - bad weather for example, then yes, they would have breached the Fair Trading Act by not supplying the serviced your friends had paid for and not providing a full refund. Hope this helps.
  14. Doesn't this breach the Fair Trading Act?? Your friends paid for a "service" they never received - They should get a full-refund.
  15. Ohhhh God it's going to be like Elvis all over again.... Sightings for years to come... People who actually believe he's still here!
  16. [quote name="Aquilam_11 Maybe their exoskeletons are too tough? Or maybe the larva just clamped down
  17. Yeah... Obviously I wasn't suppose to reply to my own message. Or maybe I was... :-? "Obviously we weren't suppose to reply to our own message" lol haha It's one of those nights...
  18. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Love it. :bounce:
  19. Would love to forage trough a riverbed with you one day and pick your brains. Have seen a Dobsonfly in real life their wing texture is quite hard to describe... Kind of like... super thin paper/plastic. Would make good fodder for my Butterflyfish I would imagine.
