Here is another auction http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... 03&ed=true Also there is another trading site that has recently started up, not sure if it is totally up and running but they don't charge any fees at the moment so might be a good way to help out with out paying TM a lot of fees www.netdeal.co.nz is the site
  2. Yeah, I realise that mitzy, just thought there may be some other benefits to belonging to a club too
  3. LOL well there goes that idea then  I was thinking of joining one any way so I can get the magazine
  4. Am I allowed to just be a non-attending member of a club in Auckland since there is no club in Northland?
  5. I have a plastic breeding trap but the babies can get through the holes   I may just have to put the guppies in the big tank, was hoping not to have to though cos they will be VERY hard to catch when they are big enough lol For the moment they are ok in the container, shouldn't take long for them to be big enough to let out, I do a daily water change on the fry tank any way so it is not a major hassle
  6. Thanks Spink I Have had her in the fry tank for the last week cos I thought she was due to drop them lol my partner kept saying put her back, she is just a fat fish LOL There are 2 more that are looking like they will die So I may be lucky to have 10 left at the end of 30 days. How do you do register it? I am not a member of a club or anything
  7. That is exactly how it went here lol I forgot all about the background in the excitement of setting up my new tank, Had to put the background on the next day LOL was NOT easy
  8. I knew there had to be a better method than my double sided tape round the edges method
  9. That is a great idea Jude So glad to hear there is four weeks grace Will put what I can afford in to the account, just wish I could afford more
  10. lol my balloon mollie has be up the duff for what seems like for ever!!!! Finally last night she decided enough was enough and dropped 37 fry, 11 died and 26 are alive and well :D I have them in a little container floating in my guppie fry tank cos the guppies were trying to eat them Small water changes several times a day should be ok I thought I am soooo happy
  11. LOL well I don't want tail-less fishies so I guess a killie is out then
  12. o0o0o yeah killies are pretty! Are they able to go in a community tank? I have a good lid
  13. Yeah just the 2, will probably get 2 more cos I have quite a few other bottom dwellers lol and I am hoping to get 1 more BN- a boyfriend for my girl
  14. I have the ones that are speckled with orange fins, I thought they were sterbai but some one told me they were something different so I am not certain now I only have 2 from when I had my much smaller tank so I will be getting a few more as they are not as active in the big tank, I think it is a bit scary for them lol
  15. I have the instant kiwi disease... I feel like I need something else  It is 200 litres 1 metre long and I can't remember the other measurements
  16. LOL I think that is my partners problem too  Every time he spots a fish he likes I have to say ahhh no honey, that will eat the other fish
  17. I am not sure, we don't have very many members up this way either I could go to one of the other shops up here but I don't trust them like to do the one I go to
  18. I did look at those, is there any likelyhood of aggression? Should they be kept in pairs or is one ok? My partner thought they were ugly LOL I think he would love a monster fish tank lol
  19. I do want to add a fighter but there is not even one at my LFS at the moment lol
  20. I just went and had a quick read, Are these available in NZ? I have never seen one, had never heard of them until now, they certainly are a bit "different"
  21. LOL there is a fish called an elephant nose? sounds interesting
  22. lol I saw one of those at the LFS that was in time out cos it had beaten up a clown knife (I think that is what they are called)
  23. I am looking for a fish to add to my community that is pretty, and a bit bigger than my current fish. I do have baby Angels that will get bigger but I am trying to think of something that will have some bright colours that is not going to be aggresive and gets to some where between 10 and 15cm. I bought home a small opaline gourami but he is trying to throw his weight around so he will most likely be going back to the LFS. I currently have neons BN khuli loaches cories platys guppies leopard danios balloon mollies harlequin rasboras and the angels Please tell me what you think would be cool in my tank so I can look it up lol I have been searching the net for days and one thing or another makes every thing I have looked at unsuitable *sigh* All suggestions appreciated
