  1. Hi and welcome Ranger
  2. Hi Vindy What is the fish in pic 2 and 3?
  3. Awesome "pet" crab you got there, the colours are very cool!
  4. I have some angels like that on hold at the LFS When I looked then up I took it that they were half blacks but mine are definately a chocolate brown colour like the one above, they are sooooo cool! Awesome pics dude
  5. I feel sorry for the fish Can you imagine the state of some peoples feet? *BLERK*
  6. I was hoping to keep that community in the existing tank and have a whole new set of fish in the new one but my partner is determined not to let the house get over run with tanks lol So I have to sell the old one once the new one is set up lol not that I have room for both of them any way
  7. Leopard danios neons platys guppies BN cories SAE Balloon mollies
  8. I am probably going to have to transfer the fish from my existing community tank in to the new one so might not be able to have everything I would like lol I would love a fighter but I think they may not be compatible with some of my existing stock
  9. They do look pretty, I guess at the end of the day it will depend what I can find up here, we often don't get a lot of the nicer fish up here or they get snapped up very quickly
  10. Is that just a colour variation of the Opaline Gourami?
  11. Me too obviously whetu lol Just got home and thought things looked a bit cloudy, have removed kiwifruit and looks like a water change is on the cards tonight
  12. No fighters and NO ONE jumped :( Fat lazy buggers lol must be too well fed
  13. LOL *rushes off to stick flakes to side of tank*
  14. LOL sounds like teasing to me Cam I have put a gold kiwifruit in my tank as well and the biggest fans were the BN (obviously) and the platys Thanks for a great suggestion captain conkout
  15. Cool, thanks for your help
  16. I figured I would have to do something with the angels when they got bigger, would like to get a small one to start with any way and when it gets too big it is leverage for me to talk my partner in to letting me get another tank  Is there anything else with bright colour like the electric yellow that would be suitable Dixon?
  17. Would a new concrete water tank leech (sp) something in to the water? Or I guess even those plastic ones they use now could be putting off something as well, you know how terrible new plastic containers smell until they have been washed
  18. I must admit to not feeding my fish in a consistent pattern like you seem to, If I am walking past and they look interested I feed them lol Could be 3 times a day or it could be once The temp in my tank is consistent though so I guess there is no change in the metabolism. I think I was told about the warm/cold thing in relation to fish in an outside pond though so I am really not too sure
  19. I thought goldfish ate more in summer as the warm weather sped up their metabolism and less in cold weather (winter) I am not positive though, there is probably some one more qualified to give you a confirmation or correction
  20. I am hoping to set up a new bigger community tank, the tank I am looking at is 1 metre long and 200 litres I want something with slightly bigger fish than I have now and some nice bright colours. I have looked at some fish and below is a list of fish I like, although I won't be having all of them obviously Electric yellow Labidochromis Rams Angels kribs SAE Rosy Barbs Harlequin rasbora Opaline Gourami kuhli loach clown loach Will definately be having a school of neons . Now the fun part, what would you put in it? I am open to other suggestions also cos there are probably really cool fish that I haven't seen. Thanks and have fun making a virtual tank

    Introduction

I started with Platies and leopard danios The danios are great fun to watch, never stop moving and play tag with each other and the other great thing is they are VERY hard to kill
  22. I have 2 female Balloon mollys and when I got them they were bright white, then they started showing spots of yellow and now the bigger of the 2 is going grey-ish Is it likely that it is something I am feeding or water conditions or something? or Maybe they were just never going to stay white? Here you can see the yellow just starting to show This is the smaller fish as she is today with her yellow spots the bigger fish, maybe not quite as dark as the pic makes her look but definately NOT white Any suggestions greatly accepted Thanks  I just saw the green spots in the last pic
