They're probably darting around the tank, catching the babies If you want to raise them, you can put the babies into a guppy breeder they sell at the petshops and feed them on the fry food you can buy (or finely crushed flakes). Chris-

Agreed. It's over in a matter of seconds, and the fish doesn't even know. Whereas with freezing, it's just a drop in temperature until the fish can't take it anymore and dies. Do you stick it in water? Otherwise it would be slower, because it couldn't get air.

That's the best clown I have ever seen. I've never seen one of those in the LFS!

I just had to dispose of a fish. I think the best way is to put it in a plastic bag and hit it hard on a hard surface (like concrete). There is really no 'humane' way of putting down an animal imo .. Chris-

I think there was a discussion on these before, and I think people said they are hybrids or something?

I have placed 3 bronze corys in a tank by them selves (with 4 bristlenose's as well). Since then, the female has been going up and down the glass and the male closely following her. Is this a sign that they are going to breed? Or do I need to do something (water change with colder water, over feed etc) to get her to drop? Cheers!

How do you tell the difference between male and females as I heard as soon as you know the difference you have to remove them and put the males into jars so they don't fight?

I had to do that with some neons It's not very nice though. They don't splatter everywhere but chucking something at the floor isn't what i'd call fun

Does anyone here have a NZ Freshwater tank? I am looking at getting some Koura and was wondering if anything could live with them without being dinner? Also, what's a good substrate for the tank since they like to burrow? Smallish rocks? What about water current, should I add some powerheads to make it more like a stream with flow? Any help would be appreciated Cheers
