  1. Yep those black spots look just like what was on mine after the ich bout. Its not bad at the moment, so I reckon try the garlic soaked Nori and make sure ur not getting big temp swings or salinity changes. Unfortunatly its not something thats gunna go away overnight. You might notice it gets worse in the mornings aswel but not as bad at night
  2. Not sure, I think its next week. My wallet is ready
  3. Are u sure they would be that tho Wasp? After my bout of Ich my Blue Tang had black spots all over it where the white spots used to be, pretty much like wounds. Didn't cause it any grief and they went away over a number of weeks without me needing to do anything (except fatten the wee piggy up with Nori)
  4. Were they introduced at the same time? My Red one has been in the tank since the beginning
  5. My red one doesn't touch algae at all, i'm pretty sure they're both carnivores. Though those clasifications are a bit rough, my Tangs both love brine shrimp lol
  6. Just out of interest, has anyone had a tank with 2 different firefish species in it? I've currently got a Red Firefish (or Fire Goby I think they're called?) But one day would like to also have a purple one (If I can ever find one), but I believe they will fight with their own kind? Currently the red one has its area of the tank, and only ever leaves its "swimming" area to grab a bit of food, but is right back there within seconds incase it needs to "bolt" into its hole. Tank is 350 Litres and there are tons of hiding spots etc
  7. Seems to have worked, though i suspect it will return
  8. Zippy, George and Bungle! My fav show when I was 4 lol
  9. I can't speak for others, but when I go looking at corals, colour is a big thing. Zoos are something I'm quite keen on getting a bit of variety of, but theres only so many shades of brown that you can have in a tank before it gets boring. I'm not very good when it comes to names of corals so I can't really say whats missing because I dont know what its called. The other thing I'm finding (and i'm sure others are aswel) is that the frequency between coral shipments is way too long. I'm not sure where the issue of that lies, but sometimes its months between shipments (this is also the case with the fish) Its hard when money burns a hole in ones pocket and theres nothing to spend it on
  10. Range is somewhat limited, but I guess that could be a supply issue?
  11. Ahh its an umbrella leather? Hmm I might've sh*t in my own nest by aquakneeding its rock to other rocks lol
  12. Right so my Leather pictured here just after I first got it (note the white as rock!!!) is growing like a crazy bastard. I've done a bit of reading, and it appears that the best method will be to cut a "collar" off it, then cut that into smaller frags. Can I do this in the main tank, or do I need to remove the leather before cutting? If I remove it, it will close up and make it very difficult to cut. Also, what will be the best method of attaching to rocks? Superglue like I use with my zoos? Cheers
  13. Contemplating it, but its not really the pumpkins, its Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlain and 2 randoms to fill the spots of James and Darcy Kinda like that Axel Rose did with Guns N Roses. I.e it aint a GNR concert without Slash I haven't actually heard their new album, is it any good? I thought they lost the plot at Machina, seems to happen to all my fav bands (Metallica & that god awful St Anger album, makes me shudder) Still, would be great going to hear some of the classics! Providing they give them the time of day!
  14. I haven't done any maintenence on it for about 2 months, might pull it apart this weekend and give it a good clean OK so appears i've got it optimised as it is Cheers
  15. Ok, so PO4 is now undetectable, and Nitrates are 2.5 What do I do to get my skimmer to skim more? (Deltec MCE600) I'm not really too sure about the cup height and air tap. I always have the tap at 2 oclock and the cup height about 1/2 way up
  16. Salifert test kit, but may not be entirely accurate. Either way it showed a slight tinge of blue where as my RODI water was clear. I wouldn't hesitate to use the tap water in an emergancy as I've used it up until recently with no visible ill-effects, but until that time, i'll be using RODI
  17. Yeah tons of people use it with RODI The benefit of the Pro salt is that its calcium buffered and in most cases doesn't require calcium dosing.
  18. I'm using RODI now, hence why I grabbed a bucket of that stuff, although I'm going back to the normal stuff, much cheaper From what I've tested in Hornby, the tap water is Nitrate free, but shows 0.03 PO4.
  19. X breeds = Cross Breeds Retard is definatly 100% retard... I mean spaniel
  20. Hey Sapphire Just so you know, I have used a bucket of that pro salt, and have just switched back to the original red sea salt as it made my Cal go 500+ I think perhaps that pro salt is meant for less frequent water changes, and I know you and I both have done more frequent water changes to try and get PO4 and the likes down
  21. Apart from fish, we have 1x retard called Charlie
  22. What shutter speeds are u using reef?
