I have one fully grown Male Bristlenose in my community tank, 4x clown loaches and about a dozen kuhlis plus other fish, ill slice off a good size portion of cucumber and no doubt it would have vanished come the morning. I find my baby bristles (Tsarminas lot) take a couple days, but I let it float, because its more fun watching them all hanging off it. If I knew how to post photo's I would as I have a gorgeous photo of a baby bristle on top of the cucumber, only just under the surface (as the cucumber has been half eaten and is starting to sink) and it looks the the little bugger is surfing, really cute, dunno if any-one elses bristles climb to the top?

My mum's discus has a white pimple type lump on its gill, she has just left it, hasn't gotten better, but hasn't gotten worse either.

There is 6 people who live with me, 1 whom is a 14 boy and is glued to ps3/pc/fridge 24/7, gas showers heating etc, 7 tanks around the place, 5 mine :oops: and our power bill is around $400 a month???

I have a 260L tank. I have coral sand, just some normal rocks, have to save up for some limestone or along those lines, im looking at getting Electric Yellows and Ryan is making me want some Demonsoni (sp?) No fish as yet, as the coral sand alone cost me a arm and a leg and I need more.

Ryan, was just curious, have an established tank at the moment with 7.5 PH, and it seems pretty stable, but some-body mentioned using it, and I googled it and couldn't find any-thing that I could understand

I don't have any problems, yet (touch wood)- tank stand :lol: But am only new to cichlids and haven't adapted fully yet!

I have tried to google it and nothing, so ill ask. How does baking soda raise the PH? also if you were to use it, how much do you need per litre?

I have a male BN and my dad has a male (we think) they are around the same size, but mine has huge bristles were his BN has smaller ones, is it common for the bristle size to vary?

I have a white angel with red eyes, does this count as albino?

Emily, how is the tank plans coming along?

Can anybody recomend a QUIET (as the tank is in my bedroom) Air Pump, that manages to pump out the bubbles and is cheap (between $0-$50) As im am currently setting up another tank and on the look out for a new pump. Thanks Danielle

It has one bristlenose, the tanks 12L- Small but he was happy. have had him for 2 weeks, tank cycled with established filter for 3 weeks prior. I think maybe the brisltnose was carrying the whitespot.
