    no im not trying to skimp, to clear things up i have a 3ft tank and really want discus not to breed and most have reckomended getting a pair so can just have 2, otherwise gets a bit tricky

    yeah thats what the prob was, a pair is damn expensive but what im after and much cheaper getting lotsa smaller ones and getting rid of the excess after hopefully having a pair

    well considering the price of discus pairs, how many little discus would need to be gotten and how likely to get a pair out of them?

    hence the running with already cycled noodles prior to adding a few hardy fish

    what dimentions would i need to make a spray bar for a 3ft tank, fluval 205 running, how many spray holes etc?

    they are only temporary anyway so not too fussed, saved some of loopys danios they are quite funny to watch the 3 of them in a 200L tank haha they dont know what to do with themselves

    and suggestions on CHEAP hardy fish to help cycling? ive already got cycled noodles that have been running since tuesday so should probably get a couple of fish to keep the cycling going. any suggestions?

    hehe get a pic soon of the yummy dingy brown water, not nice but a bit of carbon in the filter should hopefully sort that out

    so ended up buying a $2 steel frame desk to park the tank on as original place didnt work out quite so well, but its got water in it, cycling away with some swapped noodles, cheers BK
