That's a definite possibilty - I'm not certain that the RSM lights are bright enough for clams (that are down on the bottom, anyway), and Squiggy is kind of cool.

You do really have to if you are changing more than about 10-15%, otherwise you risk white spot etc.

Yep, they were both up on the rocks, but attached - still, there are some biggish bristleworms up there. I might have to rename Squiggy 'The Teflon CrustacEON'

I'd guess your tank might have some rock or sand with a high calcium carbonate content - measure your tap water to make sure that it is 'normal' (somewhere around 7). WHat else is in your tank - do you have pics?

Squiggy is the ultimate cleaner - m a f i a style. He has a shaddy past, having served long lags in solitary confinement after being implicated in the disappearance of several associates - no-one is sure who actually pulled the trigger, but Squiggy likes it that way though and no bodies have ever been found. Squiggy does have a soft side - and suffered at the hands of 'The Big Fish' before he was relocated to my RSM, but has grown considerably since and now needs a new home.
