  1. Do you mean this? Its an Acanthastrea - nice colours, huh?
  2. Thanks - the Reef Solution does seem to make a positive difference to it. Definitely recommended
  3. Correct - probably not ideal in an RSM as it will eventually need a bigger tank, but OK whilst it is still a small one
  4. A few shots I took last night. I've had a small re-arrange...

    NEW WEB SITE

Whoops! The dyslexic part of me read that as 'Ultrafilth'
  6. Yea, I guess with minimal flow most waste will precipitate to the bottom quite easily, rather than be carried to a filter/skimmer. Maybe you could just go for a thin layer that you can vacuum easily?
  7. Its all here: http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/substr ... 26298.html
  8. Yep, they are pretty pricey - most of them got specialed out in the end.
  9. Yea, its really green now too (that photo is a bit crappy)... teh cool
  10. There is something a little familiar about that Acro...
  11. "I remember that time in Rotorua with..." They should make a TV advert or something
  12. No, I haven't done anything about anything really. Just back at work and sorting everything out, then back into tanks etc by the weekend, I hope. Wilson might have a few snails to tide me over, but I really do need to get my A into G
  13. A simpler way is to just put a whole lot of glass marbles on the bottom of the tank - the eggs fall though but the parents can't eat them (assuming you've got a bare bottomed tank, of course). Cherry barbs are very easy to breed - the key thing is to stop the parents eating all the eggs.
  14. I'll give you all of my LR, rubble etc. in exchange for whatever - my RSM pod population still seems to be booming, so if I can buy a few from you once in a while I'd rather do that than grow my own.
  15. Chuck them all in together, leave for a couple of weeks, then remove them all. Babies will mysteriously appear
  16. Its just an Eheim 'AquafunFun80' 80 litre tank - its only half full of water, has 15 magnificent watts of T8 light, a bit of live rock and coral rubble, with a basic filter with all the media removed to give some circulation. I chuck NovoTabs in there once in a while. There are a few unhappy zoos etc in there too, but they are totally unnecessary.

  18. Yep, I'll buy them if you can breed them - I've got a little tank running and they don't need very good conditions at all, but I'd rather just buy them than bugger about breeding my own
  19. I syphon them with a piece of hose into a large jug with a cotton hanky over the top (poke the centre down to make a little 'pool' - they get stuck in the hanky, and the jug stops water going all over the floor - I then flip the hanky upside down and poke the bit covered in pods into the top of the main tank with my finger (submerge it), where they all fall off and get eaten - I guess you could get them to drop off into a jar of saltwater. I'd be keen on aquiring some
  20. Excellent - I've got to dash now, but keep me posted
