Cut them with a fine tooth hacksaw blade (at least 32 teeth/inch) - I'd also recommend you mark where you want to cut with tape etc before you start so that you don't end up going skew-wiff and buggering it. Measure twice, cut once...
Its a generic term - there are all sorts of 'Dwarf Plecos' - they are usually quite small, colourful, and expensive - e.g. Blue Phantoms. Check out planetcatfish.com
Bear in mind that it should look like flakey skin similar to when people peel after sunburn, not fluffy cotton wool - if it looks like the later, check the tank etc. - the humidity may be too high, and make sure your UV tube isn't too old.
Its how the heat is converted, so its a matter of balancing it out - I top up my tank every morning and evening to help keep the salinity as consistent as possible, but evaporation isn't as dangerous as overheating.
It could be that it has knocked them off as it looks for food around them - I'd check for them in the back corners of your tank and under overhangs where there is little water motion all shriveled up in the dark.
What!?!?!?? All of them! They could have detached and floated off somewhere - I'll got a couple of bits that just won't attach anwhere and travel around the tank.
Better - although it moves around more than I would like - with the fan set on 'Tornado' it will keep the tank below 28 degrees, even on a hot day, but it generally hovers around 26.5 - 27.0. I have to top up the water pretty regularly, though.
Yep, if it is the Bristle worms that took the clams, then Squigette can stay. She is incredibly strong - I now feed with tweezers, rather than my finger, because she would have no problem pulling flesh off :-?
When I priced one up, plus the pump, extra tubing, and considering they release the heat back into the room, I reckon it would actually be cheaper and more effective to install an inverter heat pump into the room and set it to 'cool'.
Yep, both seem fine - I've been feeding the Anemone plenty of shrimp with vitamins etc, and it seems to be well inflated and happy - not that I'm an expert!
How about NovoRift - algae with critters in for African cichlids, but pretty much every plec I know loves the stuff - or JBL Tabis if you want more bugs and less salad.
