  1. It isn't too much different really - some things have grown a bit, but I haven't done much to it lately. It survived my holiday OK - It seems to have found some sort of equilibrium, so I'm just going to let it be for now - unless I can get hold of something particularly cool, that is...
  2. Yea, yea. Why don't you just come around and have a look? It looks much more interesting in real life

    LPS

You might have too much / too linear flow over them - all of mine that are growing fast are in relatively calm parts of the tank - especially the Euphillias - they can stand a high flow for a short time, but after a while it stuffs them.
  4. Stop sucking up to the mods, wilson  Anyone who wants to see the image can google image search 'detail removed' for themselves, after obtaining the appropriate permission from their legal guardian or getting a note from teacher, and paying due deference to the copyright owner. Anyway, I'm off to celebrate drunk santa style...
  5. Not for a while - time to do a bit of upkeep on the house etc, so I'll just be doing lots of waterchanges instead
  6. tHEcONCH is slithering away for a while, but would like to wish all of you (especially the nerds) a Merry Christmas. Thanks for the knowledge, feedback, advice, and entertainment. See you in the New Year... tHEmODS would like to remind tHEcONCH that this is a family show and as such the image has been removed.
  7. Yea, I had a look at them and it seemed like it had the potential to go badly wrong - or be rediculously easy
  8. Yep, the stock one certainly is crap, but I'm a bit reluctant to start bashing away at the glass shims hammer and chisel style like JoeBlog did. How are you going to remove yours?
  9. I'd have to agree - the skimmer is total pants. So an MC500 fits right in? Did you need to do any mods?
  10. It has no flesh on the outside, but it still has a live organism attached to the inside - I think I'll just chop them off with a sharp knife.
  11. Apparently yes - although you can also pick them up from cats, dogs, etc. too.

  13. Wash your hands, and avoid drinking the tank water. That's about it.

    How much to feed?

They don't. And it will take you until Christmas 2010 to get served anyway.
  15. Whats the best way to kill them without collateral damage?
  16. They have cool slot cars there too
  17. Parazooanthids have taken root on the skeleton of my Cataphyllia - should I remove them? (and if so how?)
  18. I don't know about that - I forgot to reference "the" Babylonians for use of "their" Alphabet!
  19. Mosquito Larvae (thanks Wikipedia)
  20. It will settle down. You don't necessarily need a sharp hacksaw, just a fine toothed one. Normal (24tpi) ones grab in soft plastics and can end up being a bit difficult.
