welcome to the forums haakuturi
just a few questions
did you buy the tank originally as a complete setup?
what substrate and decorations do you have in there?
ph level would be good for africans
how do you clean the tank now
a picture would be good as well
if it was small they can dig in quite well
are you still putting food in tank?
the only option to find out usually is to take the tank apart slowly and carefully
they are very good climbers, scaling glass easily and fit through small holes
then he has further to run than he knows
he may just stay behind his keyboard and throw words at you then
if he asks nicely i can put a word in the local customs ears

D99 has only just left Christchurch and will run out of steam very quickly
it will be a few days before he gets anywhere near you
in fact he may just be joking, but it is hard to tell from the written word

if you remove part of a trio it is always the outsider
gues to knees and sniffs mark on the carpet, then asks where is the 3 year old male miniature dacshund 8)
battle wounds can look different on these guys
sometimes more of a rub on each other in a cave
pulls out magnifying glass and peers closely, adjusts deer stalker hat
and mummbles to self
i thought to do a background for the africans tank
will try to make it look like limestone face
it has 2 large rocks to go under the overhang
but may put it in the community tank
it is 2.4m x .65cm
wet day, lots of polystyrene, inspiration from si=sphinx
so started this one
cut, glued, sanded and coated with cemex so far
still to make 2 rocks for the overhangs
gravel can be a problem in their tank especially if they are picking food off the bottom
they seem pretty good at sieving it through their gills etc
but i run a coarse sand so if any is ingested it can be passed through the gut
