i have a tank that i bought 2nd hand and cant work out the set up. the filter is in the hood but is not put together and i cant figuire it out- have spent so long on the net looking for some online directions or anything but the closest i came was all in chinese or something-my yoyo loaches and the rest of the gang are getting cross with me and i had a dream last night that one died-silly i know but it freaked me right out! lol the pump is a sunsun hqj-900g - i just needa know how to put all the pieces together &c:ry any help would be much appreciated!!! :happy1:

yikes i wouldnt put anything in with a puffer i heard they are nasty and shread all other fishes to pieces - re: above joke funny

hi my 90ltr aqua one tank has a crack from one side to the other across the bottom. dont have a clue what this could have been from as i havnt moved it. all my fish including my 3 big yoyo's are in a little makeshift tank until i can get another one or repair this tank if its even possible?? does anyone have or know of a cheap tank for sale 90ltrs plus or a way that i could possibly repair this one. help help help - panicing !!

no ive never netted him before. ive always been too scared because i was told the barbs he flares out when hes upset can get caught and i dont wanna stress him out

I just noticed that he has a big red lump hanging off him sort of at the side of him by his side fin. looks like a shrimp pellet but is red. im so upset, i know hes a common sort of a fish but he was my first fish i ever had in my first tank and he is my favourite so i am very worried i hope someone can tell me how i can help him

there is a guy in chch that is selling 4 green spotted puffers and 1 congo puffer that was bought in as a green spot. thought there may be a few people interested

does nobody breed them in nz?

i think it would be important for their happiness as it makes them feel safe

I have been looking for soooo long for a freshwater puffer. Can anyone suggest any avenues i could try to find one of these little fellows? I really would love one as they are full of personality and as i work from home ill have all the time in the world for one. alternativly could anyone suggest any other freshwater tropical fish with character? i only have a 90ltr tank and the only resident is my GBA Bristlenose, ive had my tank set up and running almost 6months with nothing but plants etc in it as was holding out for the hope of a puffer but it dosnt look like its going to happen for me.

thanks alot. ive found somewhere that has lochachata? they look like they have a bit more personality but im not really familar with the diff types of loaches yet. has anyone had experience with them? thanks alot

thanks for that. i actually have not got him yet and am re thinking the whole idea now as i dont really like the ideaof not being able to have any other fish smaller than him but i really would like a fish with a bit of character. ive given up my search for a freshwater puffer as i have had my tank running now for about 5 months while i searched high and low for one to no avail. i recently got a GBA male but he is the only fish i have so far.

does anyone know were i can find these little fellows?
